Agreed, we can all look forward to "OUR" world class stadium being constructed to the very highest standards ( Not like the lego kit south of the river). the work will start very soon on phase one, the access road & car park !

So it's a stadium again now, Henbury. What's happened to your "sports facility"?

Sainsbury pulling out of the contract has worked in our favour as originally we would have built the new stadium but it now seems that to have made an income from it would have strangled us. Higgs was having to concede too much to UWE. Therefore, yes we lost in court but we are now set secure for the future. Long live the Gas.

"Higgs was having to concede too much to UWE" apart from the naming rights what had he actually conceded? Until we have some clues as to how the UWE is going to be funded, then it's still not clear if we're now in a better postion w/o the £30m Sainsbury's were due to hand over to the club.

I believe the UWE wanted all the revenue from the car park and a certain % of Match day takings

And in the naked light I saw ten thousand Gasheads maybe more. People talking without speaking, people hearing without listening. People writing songs that voices never share and no-one dared disturb the dreams of Irene.

I may seem bitter and twisted but I will never forget about shamesburys. Not only will I never frequent their premises again but I will take every opportunity to slag them off on social media. Won't bother them but it'll make me feel better.

People writing songs that voices never share and no-one dared disturb the dreams of Irene. Restless Irene walked alone, Furrowed brows, Watola groans, Neath the halo of an Arab bank, Promotion form increasing table rank, As our minds were drawn to the glimpse of a future bright, and beat the sh**e.... ...and pray, that heart, beats violence.....

Dont really understand what otib are so happy about. Noone expected us to win this appeal but thankfully nothing changes. Our time is coming, they know it and they dont like it one bit.

We may have lost the battled (with Sainsbury's) but assuming the UWE is eventually built we will have won the war.
If we had never entered into a contract with Sainsbury's we would have never drawn up plans for the UWE or been in a position to attract the Al-Q's has buyers, in fact if Sainsbury's hadn't walked away we'd probably now be trying to build the UWE on a shoe string.

I think we won the war three weeks ago but lost the battle today. Bit odd really.
