Before the Newport game, the odds to be promoted were... Oxford 1.18 Plymouth 1.73 Portsmouth 2.25 Rovers 2.5 Accrington 3 For those who don't understand decimal odds, multiply the odds by your bet for the amount you would get back. So £10 on Portsmouth at 2.25 would return £22.50 (£12.50 profit) if promoted. Bookies are often out with the odds the further down the leagues you go as less research is put in. Massively the case in the Conference North/South. Considering our form and 3 point advantage, the fact Portsmouth were lower odds than us was rediculous, bookies likely hedging their bets considering a lot of people like to bet on the 'bigger name'. Plymouths odds for me were also far too low considering their terrible form. I couldn't help but feel there was value on Rovers. Today I take a look and expect us to have dropped, but.... m.oddschecker.com/m/football/english/league-2/promotionI can't help but feel there is some value for us there now. Couldn't get the fractional odds on the mobile link, but as of 5 minutes ago we were still 2.5 (6/4). Anyone had a flutter, pre season or now? I don't usually bet on Rovers, but with DC leading us into the run in I'm tempted. The only thing putting me off is our next two fixtures, if the other teams make up ground on us or Plymouth retake 3rd (playing Morecambe who's form is horrific) our odds will surely rise. EDIT: most bookies have us at under even money, so I doubt those odds will last too long.. EDIT2: our odds with that bookie drop to 1.75. Shame!

Can't help but feel Plymouth need a 6 point weekend to stay in the hunt. They couldn't have asked for 2 much easier fixtures with the form they are in. At the moment I see Accrington as more of a threat. I think and hope we can do it, just hope we haven't got in the top 3 too quick.

Yeah, even without being biased towards BRFC, it's pretty clear that there's much better value in the Accrington odds than the Plymouth ones.

Never bet Rovers. I'm nervous enough as it is during games! Never bet against the sh** anymore either as they always win even if they'd lost 5 on the bounce previously.

Given where we were a month ago those odds are hardly generous, I never see the point in betting on Rovers, as you're happy enough anyway when they win, and bad enough as it is when they don;t w/o costing you money on top!

That's the beauty of betting, you don't have to bet on something if you don't want to.

Deffo value but wouldn't want to bet on Rovers as it would be doubly disappointing if we missed out. Especially as I'd have to invest a fairly large chunk to get anything worthwhile (so even worse if we lost out).
It is definitely value though and if I was a non-biased punter I'd be very interested.

Rovers were 4/1 at the start of the season for promotion.
I put a bit of money on them so fingers crossed!

How much are people being offered to cash out their Leicester bets?
If you had a tenner on 5,000/1 and were offered 20k now, would you take it?

Some bloke stands to make £25,000 if they win it, I think it was William Hill before they beat Southampton offered him £10,000 he declined, after they beat them he got offered £14,000 he declined. Fair play to him, not sure Id turn the 14k down, but I'm not a gambler.

Theres quite a few Leicester fans who put a couple of quid on. Someone did bail out and took 30k instead of a possible 100k. He had a few quid on top 3 & top 4 as well so has a bit more coming his way
