So has David Pipe. Would you cum on his back?

I look forward to seeing Coles v Taylor in August. What an oil tanker (or is it banker?).

They really don't care about the characters of the players they sign. Coles joins the list of ass holes on their team which includes Lee Hughes, David Pipe and Luke Rodgers.

I think they like to make sure that they're doing their bit for Care in the Community.

Coles is exactly the type of player DC has been working tirelessly over the summer to avoid bringing to the club. He is a bad egg and it's easy to see why he would be a negative influence in the dressing room of any side.
Even if he hadn't already played for us, Clarke wouldn't look twice at him - despite the fact he is a very experienced FL centre half and available on a free transfer.
I'm very glad we have a manager who thinks personality is just as important as anything else. FGR have gone wrong with their recruitment method for a couple of years now and it's easy to see why. They have some proven players in their ranks but it wouldn't surprise me if they fall short again; most are only there for the big paycheque and we know from experience that doesn't work in the club's favour.

But they will still finish above us.

But they will still finish above us. Will they? They finished lower than Salisbury last year!

If we do them at their place, we will finish higher in the league than them!!

Wonder why Newport got rid of Pipe ? Says a lot about him in my opinion. Was certainly a thug on the pitch when we played there last year.

Think it says a lot about him that he played a lot of games for them in L2, seemed to put in decent ( although judging by the game against us not necessarily very sporting ) performances and yet they still decide to let him go. No league teams come in for him and he signs for Forest Green in a league below. As for wages he originally signed for them when they were in the conference, so I suspect wages in L2 were not that much of an issue. Says a lot to me .....

Yes understand why he signed for Forest Green, who don't seem to have an issue with signing players who have a poor history, but it remains a fact there had to be a reason that Newport let him go and I don't think that was wages or on the field performance - what else does it leave ? Lets be honest he left us because of his lack of self control and poor discipline.

And JE informed him well before the end of the season they were not going to offer him a new contract even though he was in the team and seemingly doing well... They can dress it up as cost cutting but I sense something happened within the club / off field for him to be released personally

They can dress it up as cost cutting but I sense something happened within the club / off field for him to be released personally I do seem to remember reading somewhere (maybe I dreamt it...) that a lot of hefty promotion bonuses came into play when Newport were promoted. Would possibly explain it, but as you say the timing suggests they didn't even try and negotiate with him - and consequently suggests they didn't want to keep him regardless.
