I don't know about everyone else but the last game is way behind me and I'm dead excited to get back to the mem on Saturday, we may have lost but I have extreme confidence in DC and the Squad to set it right, I feel like we can win all our remaining games! Maybe we will maybe we won't but I'm buzzing for every one of them still! Bring it on!! Utg!

Let's see your enthusiasm after we get analysed on Sat. I believe we'll win well! And if we don't and this group of players fall short in these final games then DC will improve us and make an even bigger push next season, I'm massively enjoying this ride we're on, I've got belief in this team and this manager, it's a welcome change to the amount of years I've sat or stood in every part of that ground feeling heart broken, 2 great seasons in a row it's unheard of for us haha, my sheed friends always say about the whole '2 league separation' but I'd rather be 5th in league 2 with 21 wins on the board than threatened with relegation from the championship, we were in the same league as each other when I started supporting and it won't be long before we are again

For some reason or other I worry that we might struggle in the playoffs though , just a gut feeling. Agree with what you say about belief in this team I tend to turn up to the mem nowadays knowing that whatever 11 are selected they will all put in a bloody good shift and usually get a positive result. One last big push is required over the next seven games , who knows the last home game of this season could be massive for all the right reasons, just imagine the atmosphere at the mem if we go up!!!!!

[ Judging from your previous posting I had a feeling you'd agree yes the play offs look a very tough route to go and if we end up in them we may not be favourites, but I think we're guaranteed them as a minimum now, that in itself is a fantastic achievement given the expectation, if we lose in the play off in the semi's or at Wembley I will give the team and manager a massive amount of respect for getting that far, and then next year I would bet anything we go up, but right now I believe we're gonna do it this year! But anyway my point for this whole thread is to just remember what we've had to endure in recent years and how well we've got it now by comparison, even without promotion this will have been a great season well worth the money we've paid, I'd like people to remember the season tickets they've paid good money for to watch us barely win a game, finishing near bottom every year AND a few relegations, and still they've soldiered on and kept paying the money, this season we've been able to watch a winning team that are gonna make the play offs at a minimum, with or without promotion I will always remember this season as a great one, I hope others can do the same And on top of that a striker that has suddenly got a very realistic chance of the golden boot, Simpson was miles ahead of everyone not to long ago and looked destined for 30 goals, Taylor is only 1 goals behind now, that could be a nice little achievement for the man who has massively split opinions over the last 2 years, admittedly I'm not his biggest fan off the field but on the field I'm a big fan and I'd love him to win it, for him and the club. How many play offs has dc won? These play offs are gonna be VERY competitive, if we finish in them they'll be much harder than the 07 season imo, I believe we could win them, as you say DC's record speaks for itself, and the right players are hitting form for us at the right time, but I won't be down for to long if we don't do it, next season would just be another winning league 2 season to enjoy, and I also think it would be even better than this one! One thing I've been very interested to see whether we go up or not is what budget DC will get, Ward had double DC's budget in this league, obviously financial fair play applies and the new owners aren't gonna go cavalier anyway, but looking at what DC has done with his budget I'd love to see what he could do if it even gets doubled next year!

Rather be 5th in LG2 than threatened with relegation from championship?
I'm sorry, but that makes no sense to me. So if you assume we get promoted and they get relegated..That makes our position look ok? What if we don't? What if they don't? Why on Earth are we guaranteed to have a good season if we don't go up?! We'd do well to hold on to our Manager plus a handful of the players.
This cheerful attitude when things are sub standard has a small part to play in our sub standardness imo.
Although they won't admit it, everyone in an official role at BRFC will be dissapointed if we don't go up now considering how close we have been.
I'd forget comparing ourselves to the the teds aswell, we've a long way to go.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to consider how you feel in regard to where you started the season, rather than where you might start next year. eg, I'm sure most Gasheads are enjoying the season much more than most Villa fans are, even though we're not gonna start next year anywhere near them.

It depends on how you choose to look at things. Of course it's fine if you put it that way. The statement still is a nonsense though because obviously we would prefer to be in the championship over LG2. Our best case scenario puts us in the same LG as their worst.

Nothing wrong with feeling upbeat with our season so far,10 away wins and counting, when did we last do that. A striker on 22 goals and counting, a team that plays for the manager and are so much better to watch. As proved last season watching a winning team is better than watching a struggling team lose and play poorly most weeks no matter what league you are in. Judging by our gates more fans would seem to agree.Happy Days

You just need to turn that frown upside down 79 lol

Double the budget doesn't mean double the success just ask Pompey fans? It's keeping the togetherness/work ethics of the squad which is most important not splashing money on the wages of the likes of JJOT & Clarkson again.

Absolutely, but can you honestly see DC making signings like that?? I can't in a million years, the attitude, work ethic and togetherness wouldn't change in my opinion, but the talent might increase somewhat, might even pay a fee for some players
