Three of the best and most memorable goals I've ever seen. 1st goal relief it wasn't game over, 2nd a belter, 3rd an amazing way to end such a crucial game, laughing and screaming. Happy days

I was almost level with the goal line for the 3rd one and I just rememeber time seeming to stand still watching it slowly trickle towards the net.
I can still remember my mates tooth being knocked out in the crazy celebrations that followed like it was yesterday.

I remember the low when the opposition scored, thinking it would be a repeat of the JPT final, the joy of us scoring and thinking Igoe was my new idol! I also remember the chap in front of me having a scorpion tattoo on his head, thinking it would hurt and then realising how many people had turned up to watch the Gas and hoping it would continue.

Probably the happiest day of my miserable life. What I would give to live it all over again.

What an incredible day. I actually felt quite relaxed before the game and confident that we would do the business. It is strange to think how badly that season started for us and yet how well it finished. So many high points towards the end; beating City, Lambert's thunderbolt against Swindon, Hartlepool and both Lincoln games. Great time to be a Gashead.

Am so glad people taped it as I was rushed into hospital that morning so missed the game. I have always felt really sh** about that. It would have been the first victory in finals as I'd been to old Wembley twice and the millennium once only to come home miserable after losing. Gutted I was.

I spent weeks trying to find a pub in paris that was showing the game - (bad timing for a stag do). The owner emailed me back to say he would put it in for the ten of us.
The plan was to watch the game then go off for a meal in our tuxedos up the eiffel tower. Got to the pub expecting it to be s shithole - walked in and saw a roped off area and a sign saying "bristol rovers fans"!!!! Amazing - even got the locals going with Goodnight Irene.
Still remember getting taxis to the eiffel tower singing out the window all the way.
