Where is the winger we have been promised all summer? This is the most important signing of all. Very much hope that Turley signs when fit as will be a class signing in this division and probably good enough for the division above.

I know people will be disappointed but it's the right decision. Can see Turley signing eventually to be honest, just too risky to take him on board now. Short term deal for Trotman is a good one, gives him the motivation to play for an extended deal.
Just want to know about this winger now!

Dissapointing he failed the medical but positive we didnt just sign him anyway. I personally would have rather signed Mitchell or Higgins over Trotman who was very error prone in league 2 but i guess he has gone for experience.
We need another striker and winger by the end of today

Bristol Rovers @official_BRFC
Turley wants to spend a couple of days a week training with the club, at his own expense, while he gets back to fitness #bristolrovers

Is Higgins definitely a dead deal now?

We haven't been "promised" anything and Gosling and Monkhouse are wingers. I know what you're getting at though and I agree we need another. I am guessing we couldn't agree what percentage of wages we were to pay for the loan winger we were in talks with last week.

They said he spoke about wingers and that part will be on there later.

It sounds like Turley really wants to play for us if he training with us at his own expense. Fingers crossed that he will be signing when he is fit.
Trotman should be decent enough back up at this level and can step in to cover any of the first choice back 3.
I am looking forward to the news on wingers later.

The pessimist in me think they've put the better news out now and waiting for Darrell's full interview to say they news about a winger, can't see us getting one before the weekend. Hope I'm wrong.

See, I thought the opposite - in that they may be delaying the news in case there is some activity later on. That may just be wishful thinking though, and I suspect you're right. Not great news re: Turley but at least it means we're not paying him two months wages unnecessarily. Trotman is a good addition and hopefully means he'll be desperate to prove himself in order to get a longer deal. Well done DC on that one.

Good work DC. The last few managers would have just signed Turley anyway.
He must be pretty injured to fail a medical at Rovers!

Looks to me as DC has set the bar with fitness requirements and is not willing to take a risk or carry passengers (e.g. Gow) ... unlike previous managers ... (White might be a flaw in my argument)
