Balanta would have been a heck of a signing at non-league level.

His wiki page is deceptive, I'll give you that! Would have been a bit of a coup to sign a player also on trial at various League One clubs, so I'm not surprised we didn't secure his signature. I'm just glad that wasn't our only option, I hope the winger will come in next week at the latest.

Where is the winger we have been promised all summer? This is the most important signing of all. Very much hope that Turley signs when fit as will be a class signing in this division and probably good enough for the division above. the same place they have been for the last two years! Not here!

Really hope Trotman has a fair bit of pace.we were sh*t scared to leave space in behind the back line last season and caused ourselves big big problems by constantly defending too deep to try andy compensate.Haven't been to any of the friendlies but it sounds like lack of legs on the left hand side has caused problems again?Macca is the biggest worry for me,just hope his experience will count for more and The slimmer Parkes model has picked up a tad of pace as well!

Culley no longer training + Clarke 'waiting on a phone call this afternoon' = loanee coming in tomorrow? Or is that 2+2=5?

I dont think he rated him tbh No, his comment of him 'doing ok' suggests he thought the same as Mark Yates and Appleton at Oxford, whatever that was. However, in the interview DC said he was 'seeing how he (Culley) does in a practice match today and in training tomorrow' - so unless Culley was massively sh** in the practice match, that to me suggests he's signing the loan striker imminently - hence why he's cut Culley's trial early.

Sod them, plenty of players deemed as dross by a group of fans have gone elsewhere and done well. Will judge him how he does in the quarters.Gutted about Turley but that seems a hell of a long time to get a broken arm sorted so the correct decision at this time, just hope nobody else steps in before us if he recovers fully.

Are people suggesting the budget has been cut a second time??
That would be bizarre.
Are we close to going bust here?

Its more about cashflow i believe. There has been reliable talk of boardroom splits and attempted takeovers and as a result cash is not being lent by directors and we have little to no funds. Perhaps we arr waiting for revenue streams to increase once the season is under way ?

Turley can't sign because of injury, looks likely to sign in 6-8 weeks. Loan winger still on the cards Loan striker still on the cards Apart from Higgins, what else were we expecting?
