If you were at Northampton there was far greater joy and jubilation by our fans for our equaliser than anything I saw with Man City's winner tonight. Oh and Mansell is better at penalties than that prima Donna playing for Manchester tonight!

Perhaps it really shows hoow we've been starved of success that even drawing at Northampton is seem as success, for Man C fans last night it was just another win??

I can see how it might get to the point where it's just another win for them or they just expect to win with all their money/recent success.
But when the winner went in and the camera panned to the crowd it struck me how sedate many of the fans were. Not what I expected for a team on the verge of its first champions league semi
Maybe the Chelsea style plastic flags they were given had something to do with it

I wouldn't worry too much mate, a lot of other clubs manage to be successful whilst not insulting their fans with gimmicky crap....

It's not the gimmicks I'm worried about, it's losing the soul of the club with buying success I'm worried about.

Being a rag bag, tinpot outfit? I've never understood these terms like "Losing the soul" and "Plastic" which are only ever used by football fans.

I don't consider any of us gypsies, tramps, thieves, rag bag or tin pot. But you can lose a certain something when money appears.
