How condescending. If we go down the marketing route, and down and down, the ultimate success is being a corporation, the ultimate reward for business success. At that point you've sold your soul. take a look around buddy, even unexpected Leicester are very corporate. Football is not just playing football, it's a business strategy where the measure of success is on the field, but ultimately to achieve that goal u need to grow using corporate strategy. If you do t want us to sell our soul you need to support a team on the downs. I think you need to support man city

I understand the marketing.aspect however i dont get what Bristol Sport want fans to do with the hashtag? Yea, if a potential new supporter wants to find out more about city they can simply Google "Bristol Sport; Mens Soccer Dept." The hashtag isn't exactly prominent so I doubt many people will take much notice of it anyway. Meaningless nonsense but, on the basis that it seems to have upset them, I think it's very important that we keep the debate running as long as possible. Does the inclusion of a hashtag on a football shirt symbolise the selling of one's soul and the death knell of a club's history, heritage and traditions? I'm firmly in the "YES" camp. Discuss.

Regarding the hashtag.....it assumes they all use twitter, for which the popular term is twatter, thereby making them twats.

Any press is good press? The car manufacturers are riding on the crest of a wave right now. Family ST sales at AG went through the roof after the last derby match and Gerald Ratner must have a permanent grin on his face as he sunbathes on the yacht. I used to think Rovers and Bristol Rugby should have offered combined ST's and the Bristol Sport model undoubtedly makes perfect commercial sense. However, it is diluting the BCFC brand and alienating some of the football fan base. I follow Bristol Rugby but I resent being spammed with city related offers and marketing material. To the extent that I will probably watch the play off games on TV rather than go to AG. Established premiership teams are all very well run businesses but I suspect longer standing fans will admit that their clubs have lost their soul. Acceptable when you have a premium product but not so appealing further down the leagues. Bristol Sport are doing the marketing thing quite well but you can't polish a turd and once you've lost your soul it's very hard to get it back. Football is clearly, big business but it's entirely unique. You can fill a stadium for one match with clever marketing and special offers but supporting a football club is a long term commitment. Rovers, as a club with soul, have plenty of appeal to neutrals and just as much potential as they do. I think the Your City and Two teams in Bristol slogans Bristol Sport came out with were as desparate as they were arrogant. We will always be a thorn in their side.

"Goodnight Irene" would be fine somewhere discrete on the shirts, no need for the # whatsoever!

Hello all you 15er's
I'd personally rather be 2 leagues above you lot with a nicer ground, more fans, better team, better finances and have a hashtag on my shirt, although in about 2 seasons time you will be above us playing champions league football with your new owner.
And just before I get kicked off 1 quick question why do you not let us on your forum but we are happy to let a few of you on ours...??
Mind the gap, 15 years and counting

Don't worry we don't really care about you we just find you and your delusions hilarious like any bigger rival does when their little, less important rival thinks they are getting 4 staright promotions with a new owner
