Watched last night, watching tonight and all I can say is: Thank you Manse, Thank you Manse, Thank you Manse, Thank you Manse. Thought the standard was quite poor. Slightly better tonight but thank god we are not in that league now. if you don't get out you look as if you get sucked in and become non league when you still think of yourself as a league club. I think we got away with it only doing the one season. Grimsby, Wrexham and lots more haven't got away with it. So.....Thank you Manse! UTG!!

82 Braintree fans at Grimsby tonight. Pathetic, throw them out of the league! Even FGR's away support is 42% better than this!

Imagine FGR V Braintree at Wembley will be lucky to get 10K shouldn't be allowed to compete even at this level let alone the Football League. I hope Grimsby can turn it around feel really sorry for them a proper league club stuck in the conference or whatever it's called nowadays-------Thanks DC and the boys for getting us straight back up and as for Mr Mansell BLOODY LEGEND!!

Maybe yet again Grimsby have missed out. That last penalty a year ago is looking more and more like the difference between a bright future and oblivion.

Hey come on, football isn't scored by how many fans turn up. Teams like Braintree and Accrington in our league are managing to get good results on the pitch. We shouldn't be bashing them about their low support. When we were in division two (Championship now) we were one of the smaller clubs. Should we have not been allowed to play at that level? (By the way, any sheeds on the forum, don't bother to answer the last question)

Yes, even though it would give me an away game just 35 miles from where I live, if we don't go up, I really hope Grimsby can turn it round. Braintree away was the most depressing game for me in 50+ years of watching Rovers. Well beaten at a very non league ground (and fellow Rovers fans at their worst) Every time I drive past Braintree, I still feel queasy and thank god our fortunes changed after that awful afternoon.

They should probably hold that at Priestfield.

I would think it's hilarious if Grimsby bottle it again. Nothing against them but they don't deserve to get promoted more than anyone else in the play offs. They've been non league for quite a while now

Yes it's very strange. Seeing the Braintree ground last season brought it home how far we had fallen. But it must never be about the size of crowd. I know it is annoying to see clubs with very small gates competing but it must always be about who is the best not the size of crowd. Just imagine when we were at Twerton in Div 2 and playing against bigger clubs. It was our right because we were good enough and we had proved it. I think it's just been over last 16 years whilst we've been pretty **** that the good size of our crowds has been the one good thing that we've cottoned onto to prove we are good!!! But it about quality and it has been poor in the play-offs. I think on their resources Dover and Braintree have overachieved and if the othe teams who think they are better can't beat them then good luck to these smaller teams. As people have said, Grimsby were really poor and didn't deserve anything. Be interesting to see if they can recover. UTG!

Football is all about living the dream and it should not matter what size gates/support you have i can remember the original Wimbledon going up through the leagues and their crowds were tiny when they were in the lower leagues also going to places like Wigan 2/3000 at the most, we have NO RIGHT to criticise these clubs ever since the takeover of our club some fans on here have been acting very arrogant and are beginning to sound like the inbreds south of the river. In the Conference for years now, they had a fine showing at Wembley last year and the fans have stuck with them. What would Accy be getting after 6 years in the Conference? 500?

I remember going with my Dad to see Wimbourne Town win the FA Vase at the old Wembley. There were only fans behind the dugout - must have been around a 5000 attendance. It was a totally bizarre atmosphere, and 24 years on, I remember nothing about the game - not even who they were playing!
