Celtic secure green light for rail seatingI know its the SFA that approved this for Celtic, but does anyone think this can be a catalyst for Rovers to pile pressure on the FA for Safe Standing in a new stadium? I am all for plenty of seating for those that want it, but I'm a die-hard stander, I feel the atmosphere in a ground is always better when people stand, can sing louder, easier to stand with your mates etc. Otherwise you all have to buy season tickets at the same time to be seated next to each other. Your thoughts? Picture of Safe Standing "Rail Seats"

Cant see it in England especially after the Hillsborough enquiry. You clearly thought that remark through! Did Hillsborough only affect stadium safety in England? What was the outcome of the latest appeal? Would it have occurred if there were rail seats in Leppings Lane? Do we still have 8ft steel fences caging supporters in? Modern ticket allocation. All ticket areas. Segregation. Culture. Affordability. People need to re-evaluate their position on stadium safety because to fall back on Hillsborough every time is lazy and outdated. I mean that with the greatest possible respect for those affected of course, however time moves on.

The Taylor report is fundamentally flawed, in the main, overcrowding in two sections was the biggest problem, along with all the other things like poor policing, wrong ground for the game, allocation of ends etc etc. Nowhere in the Taylor report does it state that Standing was the issue. The "All seater" stadia comes about by the general way fans were treated at that time in history.
In my opinion Seating rails should be safer than seating, as every row has a crush rail (at a reasonable height) on it stopping any surges, seating only has the backs of other seats, and they are so low it is easy to topple forwards over the seating in front.

Cant see it in England especially after the Hillsborough enquiry. The Hillsborough inquest does not blame terracing for the disaster. The FSF view is that now the inquest has concluded the Celtic situation can be gauged with much interest this season and if it goes well standing should and will be reintroduced to the top two divisions again.

Picture of Safe Standing "Rail Seats" think we are going for the "season ticket for any seat in a block" system as per other stadiums have, so you can have your non season ticket mates near you
