Went to the Vic but it was closed,so we all celebrated on Glouscester rd,it was brilliant. Getting drunk for the first time since Wembley,we don't need playoffs. I thought my fellow gasheads were superb today,i love you all. The videos of the celebrating along Gloucester Road look amazing! I think this is the first time since I moved abroad four years ago that I've generally been home sick and wish I was there! Only the gas could do this! i feel your pain. I was in Ethiopia in 1995/6. Having to wait for the 1995 play-off final result on BBC World service was a gutter. I felt so lonely and homesick. Not much else phased me, except Guinness.

On a oil rig in the North Sea with a bottle Of becks non alcoholic larger . Woopy Chuffing gee Only found out at 5.00 what had happened today As I could not follow the day's events And still checking on sky and bbc sports that I'm Not dreaming ... Massive well done to all at the rovers RTID TBH that was a good way to find out because it was 90mins of pain in the stadium, with then a moment of joy, and then 5 mins of anxiety and confusion and dis-believe. i'm still not sure it is real. seriously.

Now living in Skipton. Missing Bristol big time today. But there in spirit. Beers are flowing. Up the gas.

Would still rather go up this way than through the play offs (even though I would have come back again for the final).

coming up to 3 in the afternoon here. Still tired after not getting to bed till 4am. Five hours sleep and I was up. Mothers Day here, so we're having a leisurely day. Good job as I've got a bit of a hangover. Seems I can drink plenty of homebrew beer and not get a hangover. It's the homemade cider that does it. I think I made it a bit strong.
Time for a beer in an hour or two I think.

Time for a beer in an hour or two I think. I hear ya buddy! Feeling the same here after a late one last night. Watched the cats smash the West Coast Eagles yesterday in Geelong, fired up the new bbq last night and put away mucho vino in preparation for the promotion party and finally got to bed early hours after biting most of my nails off. Been for a surf this arvo on the blue and white quartered board - not that the locals have a scooby what it represents - and starting to think I might need to go to bed at about 5pm tonight I'm so shattered! Best weekend in ages! UTG

Unbelievable. Two promotions since I left the UK.
I wish I'd had took a Rovers flag over to NZ, may have to import one. I was out with a Boro fan waiting in anticipation of our fate! Great night for both.
Gas are on the up!

One of my Gashead mates here in Australia is married to a girl from Middlesborough so he's ecstatic. If there was another cider in the fridge I'd drink that. Only a beer is cold though. Look out for gasshole. he's in Auckland.
