The mentality of our fans still matches the ambition of the old board!
If we're to progress we need to keep our best players. How about we think about what's best for the club and not the player who has a 'short carer'

Why wouldn't he? Close to Cardiff, now L1, his old mate DC.....why leave?

IF you believe the words of a understandably intoxicated Matty T on Saturday evening then he is going nowhere.
In fact, if he does leave he owes me a Jaeger Bomb!

simple fact is if a club like celtic leeds or hull come in for matty,he will go,celtic get 60,000 crowds and play in the champions league! if he didnt go he would probably regret it all his life, lets hope the rumours of such big clubs being interested arnt true. almost every club in the world are selling clubs in truth about 10 clubs in the whole of football arnt

I think it would be best for us and Matty if he stays with us! If we had not gone up this season then I would have fully expected him to elave and wouldn't have blamed him for doing so. However, now we are in league one and on the way up. He has nothing to prove here whereas others clubs will start judging if he is good enough all over again. Please stay Matty!

I would like to think he will stay and show loyalty to DC and the club for the past 2 years. That being said, he isn't getting any younger and if a bigger team does offer him a good deal, I wouldn't begrudge him the move.

Agents stirring to bump up their fee. I think in cold light of day, he may have decided he quite likes League 1 Bristol Rovers. Clearly he will want more and all those DC wants to keep gonna be looking for a decent raise I'm sure, but i do think things will feel different for the squad after Saturday.

Offer him a 250 grand sign on fee and a decent league one wage as it will cost us a lot more to sign a proven 20+ goal a season striker. Eg, Barnet think akinde is worth over a million!
