I think Grisbury, to quote that delightful young woman following her, err, critique last year, took a couple of thousand less this year. Not surprising really, they haven't been that impressed with their team and manager this season, and it's not exactly a novelty for them any more. They almost have an annual play off season ticket, if you get what I mean. As for the Gumps, even though Nailsworth and Stroud are small, you would have thought that more than 5000 would have made the effort from the whole of Gloucesteshire. I really don't think they'll ever be anything other than a non league club, no matter how much money that Veggie maniac throws at them. I read yesterday tha they're over 5 million in debt, which is ridiculous in my view. With Cheltenham, newport ,Swindon and two Bristol clubs surrounding them , a rural road system and mainly villages around them ,they will find it hard. If they jumped to premier league they would get decent crowds but anything in between they will be an Accrington stanley sized club. If Accrington can do it why can't FGR ? Gloucester city ,weston-super-mare, Bath city ,Taunton town ,Weymouth ,Yate town and Mangotsfield united are the regional let downs.

Excellent following from Plymouth it being about 240 ish miles from Wembley......60 miles further than Barnsley fans(25,000) travelled and about 30 miles further than Hull city fans(26,000). Sheffield Wednesday sold 45,000 tickets and travelled about the same distance as Barnsley. Fail to see how distance has that much to do with it tbf. Size of club and day of the week are more important. As for the poster suggesting we'd take 40k plus. I don't think so. I can't imagine 15 thousand extra fans turning up on bank holiday Monday compared to last year which was arguably a more important game. So there is never any difference in away fans between rovers playing at Hartlepool or at Oxford ?

I disagree. We have always taken 35 -42,000 to wembley or Cardiff. In 2007 we took 38k to Cardiff and then six weeks later we took 42,000 to wembley. Two Mays ago our fanbases heart was ripped out and many didnt want to go to a "non league" final which I agree was a bigger game then if we were playing today.People didnt believe in Rovers anymore and sadly gave up hope.We took 30k which was amazing given where we were and had gone through. Also City had just weeks before gone to Wembley and some of the 5,000 "Bristol day trippers" would had already gone with them. With our club now - The side,DC, wealthy owners,New stadium and positive future I see NO reason why we would not take 40k when we next visit Wembley.

Did we take 30k last year? I thought it was 26k.

What is it so many like to bleedin call them nowadays - Plastic Fans.

An ex work colleague of mine was probably the most fair minded, sporting person I have known. He was a Millwall fan, but so far removed from the behaviour of the mindless morons as to almost be on a different planet.

Attachment DeletedArgyle fans travel in large numbers. My Lad went to UNI there and has arrived at Wembley.Glad we haven't had to suffer the agony of the play-offs again.Once to-day is sorted that's the FL season finished and hopefully the BBC will put us in Div one on their web site as we are still shown in div 2. H.T. 0-0.Greg Wylde is a good winger. Playing really well but booked.Had a great game for Muff' at the Mem.

That was the moment when being in the Conference really hit home, when I had to change my bookmarks.

We have to wait for the Club Chairmans meeting in Portugal before our divisional change is recognised. I believe it's in late June. Basically, it's at that meeting that everything is finally ratified and the changes take place. Mind you, that doesn't stop any other organisation showing the changes now, but it's only the League chairmans meeting that matters.

Very poor game at today.
I was watching with my rovers scouting hat on and there aren't too many players catching my eye.
