Didn't rate the bloke but was responsible for one of my favourite headlines - rovers related - that I've ever seen.
Go on now Jo, walk out Kuffour, because you're not welcome anymore.

The thing is with Kuffour is he has a lot of ability, but only produces when it's best for him.
Example: Buckle decides he's going to sell Kuffour, so in pre-season JK4 tears it up, looking very impressive, pacey and technical. He scores a great goal when he starts against Northampton, and looks lively away from home too. We then loan him out to Gillingham. Now, for Gillingham he goes on a tremendous scoring streak, scoring seven goals in twelve games. In January they sign him permanently on a one year deal. Now having the security of a contract, he sits back and only scores two in his remaining eighteen Games there.
Wycombe see this, and sign Joker on a pay-as-you-play basis. He simply doesn't perform all season, scoring five goals in fifty six, yes FIFTY SIX appearances for the Chairboys.
We need goals and players with a good attitude. Jo Kuffour is neither, and there is literally no way Clarke will want him anywhere near us.

Heard a rumour which sounds like potential bullsh*t that Joker4 may be on his way back to us? Anyone else heard anything about this?

Hahahaha... Funniest thread ive read in ages ... So needed a laugh as well thank you ... And there's me thinking people on here have had years of overpaid players who under perform and someone starts a rumour mischief making on a newspaper article of a desperate player trying to get another lucrative contract to fleece another team. Pure Gold

Two of Jo Kuffour's close relatIves were involved in a car crash Friday and were fatally injured. Condolences to him and his family.
Jo Kuffour is now playing for Sutton United by the way (don't think he has scored yet, signed in September).

Tbh I used to enjoy watching him play, very quick feet and could produce a moment of magic from thin air upfront

Spoke to him a few times when he was at Rovers - always very positive. For the record Kuffour was forced out of Rovers the season he left and was never a problem within the club.

Thoughts with Jo.
Been one of my favorite Rovers players if I'm honest. I remember a game late into our relegation season in League 1, we were drawing and literally last seconds of the game Kuffour somehow got out of a sticky situation turning two or three players, another Rovers player was with him and all Jo had to do was pass it along the box but instead he went for goal and missed. Looking back the result didn't matter as we would have went down anyway, but he always seemed to create something out of nothing.
Never quite understood why he is disliked.

I actually did like Jo but I think the phrase "never go back" was invented for the original rumour.
Hope he manages to get through his current challenges.

Great player, saw him play for Brentford early on in his career. PMagician.

Wasn't by any chance a world beater, at times couldn't trap a bag of cement. Wouldn't wish him any harm but to my mind sealed his own fate in the debacle that led to him leaving.
Jo, good luck for the future!

Never rated him. A very selfish player without the goals per game to back it up.

After Lambert left he and Duffy were on fire for a brief spell. Everything seemed great back then.
