If DC goes to dirty Leeds we can get a caretaker in for three months because that s how long Cellini usually keeps his managers, would not be surprised if we had Gary Johnson here if DC goes, tin hat firmly in place!

I dunno, Johnson has had success recently but I think some are brushing over his failures. Two relegations in one season really, with him taking Yeovil to the brink and then Cheltenham down. IF (big if) DC goes I'd like to see us going for young, successful and ambitious managers who haven't really had past failures at this level. Even if it means us appointing from lower down the pyramid.

Clarke was 1/8 odds on but now "only" 1/5

Very tough one this for DC, as Leeds United is of course a massive club, who are still way below their natural traditional level. Whatever manager does eventually get them back up will become a legend, and would be well placed to go onto massive things. DC is very ambitious, I just hope that what sways it in our favour is his unfinished business of getting us into the top half of League One, and the fact that Leeds *currently* have a crackpot owner who doesn't give his managers more than 5 minutes to prove themselves.
I also recall reading he's a Man United fan, which certainly wouldn't sit well with the Leeds fans!!

I love DC & really hope he doesn't go , but if you were Wael, how long would you give him to sign the new contract ? Personally, I would have thought that with DC's impending wedding, they would give him to the end of the month. I can't see Leeds waiting around either so sense this will be resolved one way or the other this week MC already seems to be moving on to his next target anyway. As far as DC's wedding, then assuming he's not with the player in Vegas hasn't he got his stag do to attend in Vegas before he gets around to his wedding?

This might sound absolutely mental but if we're going to look at Johnson the Elder if DC goes (praying that he won't), then we might as well run the rule over Cotterill as well.

There are five things to consider (1) Leeds make City look VERY professional (2) The history of managers at Leeds should make anyone with any sense to say "no thanks". (3) DC and his new wife have kids that they must consider (4) The fact is that DC "loves" his players and us should be a major factor (4)DC has not been a manager of a club higher than league 2, Leeds fans want a "name" not a "nobody" with very little experience. (5) I think DC is an honourable man and will keep to his word and stay.

You've got to be joking. Not that I want either but at least Gary comes across alright. Cotterill is just an arrogant w**ker and gives the club a bad image.

If we lose DC I'll worry because I can't think of anyone who could replace him. As someone else said, he's the only person at the club that's irreplaceable. How quickly opinions change in football...."100 posters at the training field calling for him to be sacked" - not too long ago... www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/30040276And now he's 'irreplaceable' - as I said, things change so quickly in football...including opinions of managers...

Can't remember exactly, iirc it was an official site vid, where he said we belong in the top half of League 1, and he won't stop till he gets us there, or similar.

Only by alphabetical order. And on goal difference. It wouldn't make a liar of him if he quit now.

You're right it does sound mental, because it is, I don't want either of them at our club especially Cotterill, the man is a rude oaf and not good enough for what we want.
