I’m a Gashead, the best Gashead, doctors have tested my blood and they couldn’t believe it, they said I was 100% Gashead.

Yes... This is done to highlight how annoying it is when GGMI resurrects old threads! Please, and I’m pleading with your reasonable self, make this your one and only.... It won't happen again!

In my 51st year of following the Rovers, good times have been few and far between, bad times all to often, mediocrity the norm. Am I optimistic for the future, sadly not. We will never get anywhere without a new away stadium and that dream is as far away as it has ever been. Lets hope we can stay up this season. UTG.

I’m actually a turncoat, I was born into a family of city fans, and had the misfortune of being a season ticket holder down there for many years. Never liked it , but had no choice due to having to go with my family. The day I turned was my first ever Bristol Derby , unfortunately we lost 2-1 To the sh** that day but the moment I saw the blue and white quarters and the sounds of the passionate support for the gas got me drawn in immediately , The gasheads didn’t stop singing and chanting for the whole 90 minutes and I said to myself there and then that as soon as I was old enough to watch the gas and travel there that I would , not long after we moved from playing at Twerton Park up to the mem and then it was literally a matter of getting on a bus and watching the gas. It came at the right time really as I genuinely was losing interest in football as I had to endure years of watching the sh** by being made to go by my old man and brothers. Best thing I ever did as now me , my Mrs ( who is actually from Bournemouth and used to support them) and my two kids have been season ticket holders at the gas for many years, I am proud to be a gashead UTG !!!!!!!

If you can get the covid 1982 jab you will suffer no lasting effects from your time as a young red. 😂😂 i think my hatred towards them is down to my family’s persistence in me attending and watching them, honestly there was never a decent atmosphere down there and the ground is quite literally full of proper sh** heads !!!! Me supporting the gas actually caused a huge rift in my family for many months , in which my eldest brother didn’t speak to me for at least 6 months and my old man was outraged. To this day , we do not really talk about football as it usually ends in some form of argument. Still have no regrets till this day as the watching the gas is one of favourite things to do , I must say however , we’ve probably dodged a bullet this year by not being allowed to go down and watch 😂😂😂, All Joking aside I like many others am missing attending the mem so much , I can’t wait for the day when we can all go back UTG !!!

I'm guessing we could only be GasHeads from circa 1984 onwards? As that's when we were christened?
Before that, we must have been, Pirates...?
