I used to have a beard but tried recently and now it would be white and grey with bald bits. Not a good look.

I'm a woman with a beard. So where do I stand? I believe from reading the popular press that there's a fabled place in bristol called the dolman (kinda like a freaky narnia for inbreades and bearded ladies )you would be welcome there

Excellent trading of beard stories gents. I myself have a full thicket of beard - not Sinclair level but 3/5 of the way there. I am I fortunately tickled with the ginger stick so my beard has an orange hue. ginger is supposedly a recessive gene but nearly everyone I know gets ginger in the beard. In my twenties I grew a beard - and to my surprise it was quite ginger. The beard went, but some years later I had to grow one for a part in a musical. I told everyone that it would be ginger - but it wasn't, it was grey. Be happy with your ginger! at least yours was the same colour at the same time, mine i'd best describe as tortoiseshell, it's kind of brown, ginger and grey with white bits in it....
it is truly ridiculous....

Paul, how could anything about you be ridiculous? Hold on..........................................................................................................................................of course Since 1976 I have sported virtually nonstop a squaddie 70's porn star mustache, latterly a full beard winter and summer. Currently (for charity reasons) I have a grade zero haircut and no facial hair, takes some getting used to for sure. I have been told I look younger without - as if

My brother had a beard for about R0 years. Despite an 11 year age gap we looked quite alike, but I shunned the beard. He died a few years ago and a few years after that, I decided to go with the beard. I do believe I've scared the living sh*t out of some people, who were convinced that ghosts walked the earth for a few moments!
