It's going to definitely be a good selling point that DC decided to stay at BRFC over joining a championship side . It shows he has faith in his squad to do well that the club are on the up with positive aspirations that are being supported. Also , having a lot of players who played conference football indicates that new players can expect to be allowed to develops as the club reaches higher levels potentially.

From what I've seen and heard, DC has a good relationship with Wael, which helps.

Another 3 to 4 weeks, why can't interviewer actually ask some decent questions like "what's causing the hold up" or "will the UWE still have a 22K capacity"?/ Wael has said two or three times now, that there will be no changes to the spec except cosmetic changes or internal ones, i.e extra offices as opposed to a walkway round the stadium. Capacity will be same other than they may put in the extra 5000 seats under the roof, as this would not require a variation in planning.

I know it's cosmetic, but I like the idea of a walkway around the stadium (I assume you mean the concourse area). Lots of opportunity for a drink, pre match betting etc etc. Would be a shame not to have this.

I rather think we need another permission to increase the capacity.

Capacity will be the same other than it might be 27,000, so it won't be the same! SH is meeting with S Glos for some reason and having "productive" meetings I doubt they are just about the business rates due on the new stadium.

I did not hear anything in the interview that convinces me that anyting is likely to happen in the near future regarding UWE.
I so hope that I have a wrong interpritation of what the situation is.

UWE were so close to having us over and being able to call all the shots. Now the ball is in our court and imo the UWE aren't anywhere near as comfortable about the whole thing as they were when the previous board were in charge.

It's UWE land, they could walk away and build something else, any time they like.

Not sure why some people are turning this into an us and them with the uwe ....uwe are not the enemy ! .....they are the people giving the club a serious opportunity to build a new stadium . Don't forget how long and how many sites rovers have looked at over the years. Turning uwe into an opponent is a serious mistake.

Spot on here,if we are not careful the Evil post will make a story out of nothing and seriously push off the UWE, they are our partners in this. This is the first serious opportunity we have had to develop, yes I am frustrated by delays but we have more chance of this than the previous idealistic sites.

Perhaps if both sides actually told us what was being discussed there wouldn't be a story to make up, or alternatively SH didn't make comments like he did last Friday, has none of us were really discussing the UWE at that point?

Although listening to SH everything appears to be good to go apart from a bit of dotting and crossing we are all a bit twitchy because the last "watertight" contract turned out to be everything but! Hopefully there will be some positive news before the new season kicks off then we can all find something else to worry about I love being a Gashead never a dull moment?

Can anyone post a link to this TV programme? Is it a terrestrial or free view, and if so , can you tell me the channel number.
Thanks very much,
