Gaffney at 80/1 isn't bad odds. He has a good scoring spell when on loan, if he can refind that form over the season he could do alright.

No way can I see Gaffney getting the sort of goal tally required to be a top goalscorer. Might get just over 10 which will be a decent enough return to be honest. Certainly don't expect to get 20+ though - to be honest I'd be utterly delighted if he reached 15.

Didn't he score 4 in 6?? Backed Taylor at 40/1 at the start of last season! Not many did as they thought the same about him. Misses too many chances etc. I don't think Gaffney will be top scorer, but that's good odds.

Simeon Jackson 25/1 should be class for Walsall Chedwyn Evans 33/1 Very capable of a mega goal season Mark McNulty 33/1 could be a dark horse if he gets enough game time for the promotion favourites Sheffield Utd
Think Mattee will get goals but not a good bet as he could well go in January if he scores plenty.

Don't mean to sound negative but we have got zero chance of having the leagues top scorer.
PS Simeon Jackson and Mark McNulty are both sh**e.

Surprised Billy Bob hasn't been mentioned. If MT were to leave or get injured, or some other twist of fate get him the opportunity, he could well come good.

I've said it on numerous occasions, with the exception of Taylor(16) none of our other strikers will score more than 10 league goals. We definitely need a proven goal scorer, someone who will score you 20 goals, if Taylor gets injured then we will be fu*ked.

The trouble with this 'proven scorer' stuff is that any current proven league 1 scorer will likely be way beyond our reach. Then that leaves the 34 year old journeymen that scored a lot of goals 10 years ago.

If Taylor stays all season then he has a chance. If he scores regularly he will probably leave in January, if not he wont be top scorer anyway.
