I seems to me that managers with very ambitious and rich owners, the sort of owners that believe in revolution not evolution, are almost contracted to say things like 'Europe in 5 years' as to say anything else basically admits they might not be good enough, or that the owner is delusional.

Just seen this. Love it! Mke sure you remember gasheads, could be a cracker to look back on! Looked so smug when he said it too! I did not realise it was a crime to be ambitious. I agree. I just hope we manage to retain a bit of humility if we do get higher up in the leagues and have the infrastructure we are promised. The season we went into the conference they nearly dropped to League 2 until SC was parachuted in and then was given a lot to spend winning League 1 the following year. On the pitch we are only one season behind them now, maybe 2-3 off it but if we get a move on that gap will close sooner rather than later. Then we can look them in the eye and say "we have earned this."

Darrell did say something that I have said before on here about players and got slated for it. That players from the championship should get called up if they are in form and deemed good enough by the Engand manager. It's like Andre Gray and Michael Keane for Burnley I bet they will get England call ups now they are in the prem but why weren't the looked at before? Michael Keane in particular given our lack of quality Engish cbs. Players from leagues 1& 2 should be looked at by England If they are in form . You would get a lot more pride and passion To wear the England shirt than some of the over paid over rated players that get regular caps these days it has not done Wales any harm Picking from lower placed clubs

"I'm going to stick my neck on the line a little bit. I'm going to say Europa League," the former Robins midfielder said.
"I believe it as well. There have been some great case studies, of teams like Swansea and Stoke, of similar sized cities and towns to us."
What a berk... He probably needs to do a bit more research in town population too.

The thing about LJ's statement is that the panel was asked where their clubs WILL be in 5 year's time; not what the target was or where they would like to be. He said that he thought City will be in the Europa League.

Players if chosen from other divisions imo will have that spark, it will also in turn give the pl players that spark as they will realise that anyone with talent can play. The main issue in my eyes is we need an England manager who is firstly English and secondly not part of the fl old tie network, one who has the bolix to say fook it and will look at players based on form and talent and not on names,

We are only 6 months into a takeover and we have a long way to go to even be on level terms, on the pitch.

That is comedy gold Not sure why - emotional intelligence is all part of man management - the ability to be aware of an individual emotional state and respond accordingly to meet those needs - If a player is down being able to notice this and support them to get them in the right place to perform for the team is a great part of man-management

It's comments like that which leads to a significant number of fans, not just us, despising them. Which of Everton, Spurs or Liverpool are they targeting overtaking?! I know, the list of clubs that couldn't make it last year include Liverpool, Everton, Chelsea, Sunderland, Stoke and more, but they can catch and pass all of these teams that are full of internationals in 5 years, so so deluded, as soon as I heard it it reminded me of Scott Davidson and his prem in 5 years shout years ago. To be fair Leicester won the damn thing last season so it shows with the right set up anything is possible. I hate the sh** and if they do go up I hope they do what they did last time and drop like the turds they are.

It's not likely to happen but would be hilarious if BCFC got relegated this season and BRFC sneaked up through a sixth place playoff spot. The 27,000 superstadium with the multi million pound squad in league one ,the conference players with the two tents in the championship.....
