Would be happy with mid-table this season. Would love a cup run though... I'd be happy to stay up to be honest. There's a "Nobby" joke in there somewhere...

It's not a choice though is it? What about 1 game at a time? Sunday is nothing today, otherwise you can start predicting the whole season. Don't get your point. I'd be more happy if we lost today and won Sunday, rather than the other way around. Of course, winning both would be best. Tonight's result has no bearing on Sunday. Also you do not get that choice. On top of that, if there was a choice I'd take a win tonight over 3 points on Sunday actually! As you said though, let's win both eh?!

For DC to turn around the one downside of his time as Manager as a complete and utter failure- an atrocrocious record in all cup competitions. OK people can throw back that this failure may be part of the reason why we have gained two promotions but what better time to turn the tide than to take away from Bristol City the chance to play Chelsea! I may be wrong but I cannot recall DC masterminding any good results against superior opposition during his tenure and I put this down to the way we play and allow the opposition to have too much of the ball in their own half and doing this their superior quality enables them to retain possession for long periods of the game and actually ends up with us defending very deep. Tonight for me has now become a very important game for us with the result having such a bearing on our neighbours- what bigger incentive could there be then the chance to play at Chelsea in two weeks time and in doing so send City off to a big match in......Scunthorpe. Cardiff IMO are not the force they were a couple of years ago and although they must be respected as a Championship club I feel that DC almost gives the opposition the game in these matches and almost instils fear into the players with the way we set up. For me it is the one area where I have concerns about DC's ability to take us further than a mid table League 1 side and before anyone says I am being unfair in that I am talking about beating teams from higher League positions - it may be difficult and asking too much but teams like Oxford, Bradford City have done it fairly regularly and many other lower clubs have beaten teams from higher divisions. IMO it is down to fear of losing by a big margin by taking a risk and changing the "normal" system. Better quality teams love time on the ball and we give teams that in abundance. Tonight is DC's chance to prove me totally wrong and go out and hassle Cardiff from the kick off and stop them playing football from the back. Fortune favours the brave or so I have been told so ;lets not fear Cardiff Darrell and give it a real go rather than the usual cup game that sees us hugely outclassed. I know people won't like this criticism of DC but am I right or wrong? Is there a weakness in DC's armour or does he also have the ability to pull off Cup shocks in our favour? Is tonights game just a nothing cup game? I think not!! What is peoples opinion on this? Thank god we can finish higher than mid table now.

Whatever anyone says Well done to DC and team tonight! Although Cardiff were poor, we made them poor and that was a great result and will improve confidence and show that we can beat better teams. Now we move on and Oxford is our most important match of the season! UTG!
