Jeez there's some strange advice on here. For one, you would be safer in colours than not. That's assuming that the headhunters are even out for the game! Each to there own my friend, seen plenty of shirters etc getting slapped over the years, and well remember a man u bloke in shirt and two scarves getting kicked down holloway road mid 80s, All im trying to say is be switched on, its chelsea not fleetwood, just my humble opinion Fair enough. It's not the 80s anymore though and generally, if you want trouble you can find it. It you don't then you should be fine regardless of your attire.

If you young uns want my advice dont go wandering around dressed up like a rovers christmas tree, its safer going there these days than the 80s or 90s BUT still plenty who like a fight, so dont make yourself a target, have a good trip and i will see you at swindon. So should I wear my Stone Island jacket and Burberry cap instead? yeah youll look well hard, dont forget your best trainers and scarf

No Rovers fans will be allowed in the pubs around Stamford Bridge.
Away fans for Chelsea games always drink in Earls Court.

Of course you can't account for the odd twat but wearing colours is absolutely no problem around Stamford Bridge. Most pubs near the ground have a 'Home fans only' policy, a few don't allow football colours at all and others even operate membership schemes on matchdays. Earls Court is definitely the place to head for to be loud and proud with The Courtfield opposite the Main Entrance (Eastern end) of the tube station. Turn left out of the station and just up the road are also the 'Prince of Teck' (Aussie boozer) and the 'Earls Court Tavern.' It's about a fifteen minute walk to the stadium from here for those who don't fancy the crush on the tube what with commuters heading home mixing with fans. There are some pubs close to the ground for those who want a quiet drink. The 'Fox and Pheasant' in Billing Road is very small but relaxed (it's on a private road with barriers so punters can drink outside). 'The White Horse' near Parsons Green station unfortunately got unwelcome publicity after a Spurs - Chelsea tear up some years back but it is actually a top place for a pint, albeit pricey. They normally have a BBQ operating out front on matchdays. There's absolutely loads of restaurants and diners in the vicinity where a beer can be had too. For pubs it's basically cover up and hit the first one without doormen.

Fellas just be very carefull drinking in and around Earls Court. Last time I had one too many in EC I ended up getting married to a Kiwi chick. True story. Probably safer to drink by the ground and get beat up by the Head hunters.

Forgot to add on a previous post that there is a CIU Club very close to Stamford Bridge. It's on Britannia Road just behind the Kona Kai club/restaurant. Very handy as one of the main entrances to the stadium is only 50 yards away. Guests of CIU members pay a quid on the door.

Pity those poor people on the SC coaches who don't even leave Bristol until 3.15. It's a scorcher in London today and just the afternoon for a few beers in Earls Court.
