There's an interesting read on the BBC sport page about a new stadium for Cornwall, to be shared between the Pirates Rugby and Truro. A smaller scale development but some parallels between our situation and theirs . Sorry I don't know how to put link on here.

Don't bother it will only make us jealous and even more impatient, if that's actually possible?

There's an interesting read on the BBC sport page about a new stadium for Cornwall, to be shared between the Pirates Rugby and Truro. A smaller scale development but some parallels between our situation and theirs . Sorry I don't know how to put link on here. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39569723Stadium for Cornwall: Truro City and Cornish Pirates set to share new venueNational League South club Truro City will share the Stadium for Cornwall with rugby club Cornish Pirates. Work on the 6,000-capacity ground, on the outskirts of Truro, is expected to start this summer. Truro wanted to build their own stadium at Silver Bow, but developers branded it "no longer financially viable". "The joint agreement will enable the strong prospect of a stadium to finally be built," a statement issued by the two clubs read. "The community stadium will rival other similar venues currently found throughout the country." Truro will joint-fund the £10m ground with Championship club Pirates and Truro & Penwith College. The stadium's capacity is expected to eventually be increased to 10,000. It is hoped that both teams will be able to use the stadium, which will be suitable for League Two football, by the 2019-20 campaign. Pirates will remain at the Mennaye Field until then, while City will start next season at Treyew Road, potentially groundsharing with Bodmin Town before moving to the new home. Truro chairman Peter Masters said: "Whilst (vice-chairman) Philip Perryman and I are disappointed that Silver Bow will now not go ahead, we are delighted to have taken a further step towards securing the club's future in National League South, after so many months of uncertainty." Completion of the deal is subject to a number of legal agreements.

Such an innocent last sentence in the article! I liked "The joint agreement will enable the strong prospect of a stadium to finally be built," Not sure how you play in the strong prospect of a stadium, but I guess it's better than a weak one.

Cornwall needs a football league side. It would be great if Truro could make it one day.

Nearby so went to have a look. More and more lorries moving on and off site and earth moving gear. So as you do, wondered over and asked a couple of drivers what they were up to. One straight away said this is where the new Rovers ground is going isn't it? I said yeah. Is that why you guys are here? No, we are here to start clearing the site for the car park. Make of that what you will. As I said yesterday, if the feasibility study gives the all clear, this development will ramp up rapidly. "this development will ramp up rapidly." Meanwhile, SEVEN months later.......... The "incider" got it right again.......... Oh wait. Feasibility study was not completed until a matter of weeks ago. Also I said IF the feasibility study etc etc. What part of the written word do you not understand? By the way, a car park is not a stadium, although in your obsessed world it might be. Coats for goalposts anyone?

Time for an update from the club I think (I will probably get slaughtered for even suggesting such a thing) 😇 They updated us and said August is the deadline, it might go right to the deadline but they are confident it will happen. It's not August yet, so if they are still working on it, what's to update?? We need some patience, they said August deadline, not April. We will be updated when terms are agreed, or they come to the conclusion it is no longer viable.
