I've often wondered why he's the only person in the ground that can actually smell Gas at 2.55pm every other Saturday...strange bloke imo If we're short, bring back Keith Valee. UTG! Cant we go all out for Frankie Valli??

Heard the welders are at the Mem to weld together the hoardings SS crashed into. [brI can't believe the stand didn't fall down. Structural safety report needed before the next game I think.

I can't believe the negativity towards DC here. Sure, we are inconsistent at the moment and it's difficult to know what the side will be week by week. But give the man a break - surely we should accept that he knows what he's doing by now. Two promotions with a club that was dying on it's feet, anyone? So we play different systems...perhaps we should welcome the flexibility in the squad. Remember the one dimensional side that went down...we were crying out for Plan B then. So the personnel changes all the time...what do we expect with a large squad (which we will need)? Different teams play different ways so why wouldn't we set up differently? The core is the same, it's just tweaked according to the challenge ahead of us. Give the man a break. He's one of the best managers this club has ever had and it seems some still aren't happy.

Agreed. Sinclair nowhere near MOM for me. Bit harsh. Wasn't my MOTM either but he saved our defenders blushes several times today and still found time to get forward. Not really harsh in my opinion. I don't disagree he had a good game but Boateng was such a class above, Sinclair came nowhere near his level.

Starting to wonder what is going on, why are we so poor in every first half, lack of scouting of opponents or poor selection/ tactics by DC?
Can anybody honestly say what formation was in the first half? Was Sincs really at the top of the diamond, when Easter excels in that role? Why was Brown playing left wing? Who was right fullback/wing back?
Why is Montano & Moore in the stands but James on the bench?
Tuesday is now a very big game for DC.

Back to the match - SS may have got MOM, but Boateng was the best player on the park for my money. Also Colkett looks class. Played a ridiculously good ball to Sinclair (I think) which should have led to a goal. Agreed. Sinclair nowhere near MOM for me. He probably had more impact on the game than anyone other than Taylor who scored both our goals. He was everywhere getting tackles in breaking up play and starting attacks by just simply keeping possession, something that overal we struggled to do today. He also seemed like the only one switched on after we got the second equaliser today, after the first we went asleep and conceded the second then after the second equaliser we fell asleep again and would have probably conceded a third if Stu hadn't been covering the back four filling in the gaps and making last second interceptions because let's face it the formation changes have left our defence in a right Dam shambles. I thought it was a toss up between Taylor Sinclair and Boteng for MOM today and if it had been anyone else I'd have been amazed but I'm certainly not surprised Sinclair got it.

Boateng's quality showed far far above Sinclair for me.

A lot of negativity on here, and i haven't even posted yet! First ten minutes we looked good, started with a nice tempo and looked like we'd take control of the game. Then it became evident that using brown as a left winger would put too much pressure on hartley who was almost playing two positions. The formation didn't work but we didn't have the players to revert to 442, no montano or moore on the bench. Boatang looked strong and looks like an excellent signing but was a bit in and out. The chelsea lad looks quality and didn't waste a ball. Bodin continues to disappoint, one of the ones i thought would make it at this level. It will be a case of making sure we aren't involved in a relegation battle this year before on the field and off the field ambitions start to allign more closely.

I think we've got bags of quality throughout this squad and can really crack on and do better than just staying up. With the players we've got there's no way we should be anywhere near a relegation scrap.

Don't keep asking about Byron Moore. He was totally uninterested in the reserves on Tuesday, and is nearer the exit door than the first team at the moment.

I think DC been reading Stevek Match reports, he has been banging on about Easter starting in midfield.

Darrell Clarke is a legend for what he's achieved in his time here but that doesn't mean he can't be criticised when he clearly gets something wrong. I think the blokes been top class but in my opinion he got the tactics wrong for Bolton Swindon and today and we've got Taylor's two goals to thank for scraping a point today. It's all well and good sticking to your principles and if changing a very successful home system to random formations is the way he wants to go this season then best of luck to him and us but I really fear for us if that's the case. If we are going to play 5 at the back then we really need to do some serious work on the training field before Wallsall because they're a much better side than Rochdale and they just scored two against us and made our defence look an absolute shambles.

it was a mess today and dc has to take his share of the blame as the team looked confused and were probably over managed ie dc constantly moving players to different positions etc during the game. hartley cant play in a 3 man defence and maybe the same could be said of james clarke. it was never going to be easy after 2 promotions but i still have faith in the manager and players to find a way for us to have a good strong season

I think DC been reading Stevek Match reports, he has been banging on about Easter starting in midfield. Easter started upfront along side Easter, had a shocker for 60 minutes but looked OK for 20 minutes when moved to midfield. Perhaps SteveK should picked Tuesday's starting 11/formation!

MS looked demented in the post-match interview. If you'd watched the interview with the sound off it looked like we'd lost 5-0. Words coming out his mouth were surprisingly positive given his body language and facials. Something funny going on - Nick Day PA might be the least of it! Dunno if this has been mentioned elsewhere but this was on Facebook from another club official (you can probably guess who), in context it could have been in jest but it does seem like something might be going on...
