Did anyone hear how he got on? Was apparently in the commentary box for yesterday's game for Radio Bristol.

He sounded very nervous & didnt really say much at all, had to be really pushed for more than a one line comment. He emphasised several times that it wasnt his idea to be there, Radio Bristol Insisted!
Nice that he made the effort, but he is our owner/president not a commentator, looking forward to the retun of Keith Brookman on Tuesday. UTG

Thanks, I'm sure he was mindful not to say something inappropriate, A bit unfair maybe for him to be there, he seems a very gracious bloke, not someone for off the cuff comment.

I never listen to radio bristol match reports because the reporters are rubbish at describing the match and co-commentators are equally as bad

Wael like any sensible owner wouldn't want to get involved in commenting on players ,formations, refs ,decisions , substitutions etc etc. All that can do is undermine the manager ,coaching staff and players. All they can do is make prepared comments after a game to praise their staff or show belief in them if things go bad on the day. Not sure on the lever that they had on him to make him do it.....but he should never do it again ,for the good of everyone ,especially himself.

Odd they've ever forced NH, or SL?,to do a commentary, perhaps Wael needs to learn to say "no" sometimes for his own good, would have thought SH would have been a better bet.
Talking of NH has anybody else noticed that all the Directors/VP's car park places appear to have disappeared from behind the Blackthorn Stand/West Stand??

The most revealing thing about Wael's contribution was how he spotted formation changes and called the second booking for the sending off before the Radio Bristol commentator did. Perhaps the defensive shambles which occurred against Bolton, Swindon, Scunthorpe and Rochdale meant that rather than an after match summing up from DC, a "what the f--k is going on" meeting was on the agenda.

VP's have never been granted parking spaces in the past and as NH is no longer a director why should he have a parking space. Box holders have a couple of spaces so I guess GD still has one.

UTG Not a good idea for boss's to be publicly commenting on their employees performances. The last director who did that was Kim Stuckey and Paul Trollope complained. I'm not sure if a director has been in the commentary box since? Strangely the Trollope/Stuckey game was away to Rochdale.

I thought he did very well, seems to be a big fan of Easter. He spotted things the assaholic Radio Bristol "commentator" didn't see. The idiot even called him a coward for not commenting on the 82 ers. Now maybe someone should educate him that calling an Arab that could lead to big trouble.

Radio Bristol has not had a decent Rovers summariser since Jamie Shore stopped doing the job. Brookman is terrible at the job.He does an excellent job at editing the programme. He should stick to that.

Seeming as they spend most of their time commenting on the weather rather than the game, with the odd social media 'shout out' thrown in there too.

He was more tactically aware than I thought he would be spotting changes as they were made...the love-in with Easter was a bit worrying but we all see different players in different ways even though we all watch the same games. Not sure it's an experiment that will be repeated and not sure why people think it was a Radio Bristol's insistence....if he didn't want to he can just say no....
