Did anyone hear Clarke give his Interview before the game. I quote " because of the traffic problems we had to bypass the pre match lunch". Now surely this is down to water poor management again. Anyone who goes on a longish journey checks for Possible long delays seek an alternative route to get you to destination as quick as possible. Find somewhere to have a bit of lunch. .....1 question I love to have answered. If Nick Higgs is away. where are the rest of the board. DUNFORD WARE ETC ETC. Didn't hear that - thanks for posting. BB confirmed yesterday that the rest of the BoD (apart from Ken + Bri) are on hols at the moment. Doesn't everyone else find this completely Dam outrageous? The club are at our lowest ever ebb and nick and the boys are tanning their fat flabby arses in europe. ridiculous

On hols or just not interested in the club anymore? It seems odd it's only this season they are all on hols. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk Posted from somebody on the Gas List, who was in hospitality yesterday. "After the game I spoke to BB who was there along with KM and BSS, the rest are apparently still on holiday. Barry was visibly shocked by what he had seen and when I said it was a totally inept performance he said “I cannot go out onto the field and score a goal”. It was NOT a dismissive comment just the reality of what he had seen. Ken and Brian were also very down as were all those who went yesterday." To be fair, I understand that GD has been in poor health of late, so I would not necessarily expect him to be travelling to away games at this time.

Lee mansell claimed after the game that the players thought it would be a walk over against part time Altrincham. This just confirms the big Club delusions of grandeur that has infected our Players. Dave Martin referred to BRFC as a big Club in his first interview on Gasplayer. No Dave, we are not, please get that crazy notion out of your head. An empty stadium for the Telford home game might bring these foolish excuses for footballers down to earth. Five seasons in a row with starts like this, different Managers for each, new Players galore and yet the outcome is the same as BRFC continue their death dance. Higgs and co you have all failed and will continue to fail until an independent review is carried out into the causes of your failings. In the meantime Higgs should step down as Chairman.Higgs would love to step down but none of the other board members want the job. So which current board member do you think would make the best Chairman? Chris Jelf

Yes and no, tbh if im going on a journey i do check but a lot of people rely on the professional drivers to know, i said in another post i didn't think we would do well yesterday as after a long drive like that the players must have be knackered, again if i was a player i would have been mighty watered off missing lunch

For the sake of say a grand to put them in a travel lodge for the night. They looked so lethargic.

The coaching staff can travel on the day.

BSS reported that the BoD underestimated the Grimsby attendance by approximately 2,000. Although some of those will have been the "free" kids, surely there was enough unexpected income to finance overnight accommodation in a budget hotel for the players + DC, MS.
Having seen that the team missed lunch, due to traffic problems, it sounds more and more as though we are being operated like an amateur outfit, but with full-time players. It doesn't matter how many days a week the players train, if they've had a long coach journey and missed a meal, prior to the match, you can't expect a brilliant performance.

When DC said they had to miss their lunch, I assumed he meant they didn't have time to pull into a lay-by to have their packed lunches and had to eat it on the coach on the way. It sounds more like a school trip than an away game.

The board dont budget accommodation anymore but with gateshead, grimsby etc its crazy But they also didn't budget for the size of the gate v Grimsby - maybe they could have done some creative thinking as to how best to use the windfall?

I assume most conference clubs don't stay overnight so why change our plans on the back of a windfall from one match, asbfas as missing lunch haven't the club heard of McD's? I assume BB could have sorted that out yesterday?
