Have had confirmation that the club expect to be summonsed before the FA for the six bookings received in the game against Swindon.
They are fully expecting a fine and/or warning about controlling their players.

Alas six bookings is the trigger for a fine, my mate who I sat with at swindle (fellow scab ) is an ex FL Linesman and works at the GFA. All is well for this weekend, we have Trevor Kettle - Doh

He was also in charge of our home game against Port Vale on 02/02/2008 when we won 3-2 with goals from Coles, Lines and Lambert (pen) and he did not book anyone or send anyone off.

What could the FA say?
"Please make sure your players do not foul opposition players......blah blah.."
These are league one footballers not premiership darlings. Mistimed tackles are the norm.

I imagine they'll say you failed to control your players and here is a fine for £x. Luckily our owner is loaded....

You would think they would factor in that this was a local derby but you are probably right, a slap on the wrists and fine to pay for the FA bods lunchtime meal.

Is the Ref up before the FA ? The number of bookings is also a reflection of the way the game was refereed. He was a bit card-happy and seemed obsessed with making sure the free-kicks and throw-ins were taken from exactly the right spot. I think at least 4 of the total bookings (Swinedon and us) were for time-wasting (kicking the ball away, etc).

"....were for time-wasting (kicking the ball away, etc)..." Ah. Right. So those are NOT bookable offences. Phew.

Not necessarily.
I wasn't there so cant comment on if they were or were not worthy of bookings, but if they were we cant really complain.
The number of cards might explain the type of game it was, a closely fought derby grudge match.
The refs are marked separately for their performances from people in the stands so you would hope that system is working.

i thought the ref had a decent game but was a bit too quick to produce cards,i think a few of the cards were very harsh.

I think it's the name-tag sign on the outside of the house that gave it away.
