Ask me in march, but even if we make the play offs and lose it will have still beaten my expectations by miles, very happy to be moving in the right direction after what seems like years going backwards. Actually looking forward to going these days.

I've said no I don't think we'll go up. But this group of players continue to amaze me. I saw us lose at Scunthorpe at the start and then to Bolton but we were unlucky to lose to Scunthorpe because we were comfortable until the last 20 minutes and against Bolton we just had the wrong formation in the first half and when we changed we gave them a real game. I'd love to play them now with our current team, it would be different IMO. So I think it's unbelievable that we could do it again but this is a once in a supporters life few years and things, for once, seem to be going our way. Let's just take it one match at a time, Posh are up next, let's concentrate on beating them. UTG!

They were worthy winners albeit 3-1 was probably slightly flattering.

We lost at Scunny because we went for the win when they equalised. They were no way better than us. Bolton was lost as said previously because of our setup. Sheffield we were better than, but somehow contrived to lose it.
ITS THERE FOR THE WINNING.
UTG.

I've gone 'no' as you are asking will we go up. That isn't to say we are not capable of doing so and I would love us to do it. Still think off field issues need to catch up but just think of the publicity a hat trick of promotions would bring, especially in cementing a reputation of a team going places and the benefits in bringing in fans and players. I've changed my mind, let's do this!

The equaliser was a great strike, but he won't do that again all season and the second from Morris he was allowed to run at us, great goal but we should have challenged. Scunthorpe obviously a good team but I still think we were unfortunate to come away with nothing. Perhaps saying we were unfortunate is better than saying unlucky. My point was I think it could be different now. UTG!

I too was at the scunny game and I would agree that we lost it because we went for the win instead of settling for a draw and this is one of the things that DC does so well, he doesn't want to settle for draws, ever, 3 points are all he's interested in and that's exactly how it should be.
As for the original Poll i did vote no but am changing my mind, as I said a few weeks back I honestly think we've got one of the best squads in this league, how many other teams can make 5 changes on a Tuesday and another 5 on a Saturday and come away from two tough away games with 4 points in the bag? I honestly haven't seen any team in this league that is much better than us and certainly nothing to worry us, plus we have played pretty much the top half of the league so far and have on paper got easier games to come.
I know it's early in the season to be talking about promotion but we have got a winning mentality running right through the whole club atm and the loanees who have come in have bought right into it as well, for me this is all down to DC who is one of if not the brightest up and coming managers outside of the Prem, or even in it tbh, what he has done to our club in the short time he's been here is outstanding and he will without a doubt manage at the top level imo, let's just hope that he's here with us for a long, long time yet because he will be very hard to replace once he goes onto bigger things.

You're even famous on the EP site! 'CidereadBS3 | October 24 2016, 7:48AM Yes you are doing very well, but a bit too early to get carried away. According to your fans forum you are already up, with one poster having you down as Champions by 20+ points !! I thought Swindon were mad to think it was all over in November a couple of years ago, trust your lot to go one better with October. Why can't your fans just take it one game at a time, like your Manager will be?' Christ they're thick.

IMO, from what I have seen so far, we could definitely make the play offs; however, to go up automatically, we will probably need to be in front of the trotters, the Iron, the Blades and the Bantams.

I suppose if you spend your days watching Jeremy Kyle you've got a bit of time on your hands.

If we keep up the winning mentality just maybe we might not have to replace DC as we will be the bigger thing. I can easily see us in the Premiership at some point soon. It certainly will be part of a 5-year plan. I'm ready for it.

Glad I attached a vote to this. A close win for the "no" vote but I'm still a firm believer that the future of the bus is in a firmly upwards direction.
