It's the attitude of the boys that reminds me of the squad that Francis put together. Fantastically fit, never say die, full of belief. It's also what was so horrendously lacking in the dark days. Utg. Fantastic man management from DC and the rest of the backroom.

Great result from a poor performance. Looked rusty. Imagine if we came out all guns blazing. Quality team, never say die

This was easily the worst first half performance I've seen this season,we looked like we hadn't played a game in 2 weeks! Gillingham were looking to get their promotion challenge back on track, but from that performance they should be looking the other way. They were the worst team to come to the Mem this season.
Looking at the Gillingham player's faces when they were celebrating, I was thinking, you won't be smiling come full time. How often have we been so confident we would turn games around over the years? Not sonce GF was in charge I reckon.
UTG

When Gills scored Ellis turned to MT and said "we've sucked them in, let's score a couple now"

Deserved win against a really poor team. Clear handball and sending off for their keeper missed by the useless ref and lino in the first half.

Great result. Draw would have been fair but obviously loving the 3 points.

Amusing that many are baffled by DC's formations and selections and yet the results keep coming. I think it's genius even if it doesn't work every time, it gives us the flexibility to change games when we need to.

At what point does the fact that we've taken so many points from a losing position mean that teams dread scoring against us? When does taking the lead mess with their heads? What a wonderful place to be!

First half reminded me of the Yeovil game - plenty of possession but no real sign of a goal. Second half we were much better, then Gills got a goal against the run of play. They then had about 15 minutes when it looked like they would score more. After that period, the pressure on their goal built and built and for me it was no surprise when we scored, nor really when we got the second goal.
Gillingham are the dirtiest side I can remember seeing in recent years and the referee, in spite of booking 7 of them, let a lot of nasty stuff go. Not sure why their keeper handling outside the area wasn't penalised and my recollection is that the referee gave Gillingham a free kick following that incident, so maybe he thought Matty went in a bit hard.
Not the most enjoyable game, but who cares - we won!!!

Man city let me down on an Accy would have won a grand from a £4 bet ( they missed two penalties and drew 1-1 ) but still a great weekend with us winning and the sh** losing !!!! UTG !!! I said " lines is having a good game today" then he went on that run and scored, glad I got that right anyway.

Gills very slow and in general today looked poor side. They are quite a big physical team( hence the 7 yellows) and we played into their hands for much of the game with too many long balls.
If we played our own game and got the ball down ourselves i dont think they would have ever offered much.
Star man for them is Dack, looked a different class, love to have in our side.
Thought a draw would have been fair result, over the moon to take all 3 points.

Yeah lines apart I thought none of us played particularly well today but we still looked solid and hardworking which is often enough to get 3 points in any league.
