Surely the west enclosure reminds you of your work environment Paul, especially when you stand with the likes of GHB and myself! Going tomorrow? I will be there, Kev hopeful he will be fit for the following home game. If you fancy a pint will be in the Wellie from 1230 or so.

What you hear on the terraces, stays on the terraces. First thing I said to my daugher as an 8 year old. [br Didn't you speak to her for eight years?

Shouldn't be too difficult to enforce. It's for the family enclosure, not the entire ground. To be honest, no one in the Family Terrace should be behaving in this way anyway! The family terrace is a few yards from The Thatchers End. Unless the kids are deaf they're still going to hear 8,000 others swearing. You may as well ban kids from football altogether! First off, the family terrace is in completely the wrong place. Secondly, the OP link doesn't just mean bad language, but also the ott shouting and abuse that goes on. You expect to hear some choice language in and around a football ground, and what happens at football stays at football. In a safe environment like the family enclosure or south stand HTY can watch and hear the goings on without really being part of it. But...I'm pretty sure that if my lad went on the North Terrace and someone went off on a massive sweary rant right next to him he would be terrified. Again, I suggest that it's not unreasonable to expect the club to ensure that sort of thing doesn't happen in the family enclosure is it?? I'm not some puritanical maniac and I'd be the first to complain they started trying to police the North Terrace in this way.

why would anyone swear in front of a child? its a decadent society where decent standards have dropped to such a level as many now think its ok to swear in front of children and even do it in front of there own kids! what a shame,i hope things improve on that front

So, although I agree with you in principle, I think that you are misjudging the swearing in front of the family thang.

Unfortunately bad language is ingrained in our society nowadays. I constantly hear school children swearing and shouting obscenities at me. Usually just after I've jumped out of the bushes wearing nothing but a dirty old rain coat. I blame their fkin parents.
