How is it any different than our warm up mix tape or Nick Day forcing Sweet Caroline on us for no apparent reason??

Plain wrong. However continuing the idea what about each player having a theme tune for when he scores or comes on as sub ? Something like the WWE entrance music, maybe "The Irish Rover" for Mark McChrystal or "My Sweet Lord" for Byron Moore.
Any more suggestions with tongues firmly in cheek ?

Yes was surprised there is even a thread on OTIB about how quiet it was on Saturday and if you watched the highlights on TV you could hear the players shouting to each other - oh how massive they are now !!! Perhaps they could adapt their boards to show Library, library we play in a library

If we EVER have goal music I will send my season ticket back and never attend again until it's binned. American happy clappy sh**e!

It was embarrassing at MK when they'd score and they'd play goal music - think it was Chelsea dagger. Tom hark and seven nation army are similar offenders. Would hate it if we did that as well.
Even if we are the only club in the country which doesn't do it.

Think Eastville was the only ground in the country not to have advertising around the perimeter of the pitch or in the stands until the mid/late 1970s or similar. Don't like goal music at all. It's a no from me.

I hate goal music and I hate music straight after the end of the game while the players are leaving the pitch. Before the match and after the players have left the field fine but in this country singing our club anthems and chanting is part of binging a supporter I don't want music blasted at me at 98 decibels while I'm clapping the players off at the end of the game. Darrell Clarkes barmy army sounds great but if it's drowned out by tannoy music it kills it. It's an American idea and should stay there.

I look forward to the day when the guy in charge of that has had too many pre match drinks and puts up "the referees a w**ker!"

I don't know, I don't think its too soon after the game usually and I quite like Tote End Boys as I'm walking away from the ground.

I do too and they play that once the players have left the pitch and we're walking out which proves my point. Music before that just isn't English football for me.

Don't think they'd be able to do that for our chants. The asterisk button would wear out!

I am sure ive been to other grounds amd seem similar things on the big tvs i the corner.
I even remeber when the barely visible scoreboard on the west stand would say "Come on you blues" if there was a corner.

i went to the rugby at Bath last year, and they have some guy on a mic in the ground trying to get people to sing/chant. It felt really sad and cringeworthy.

When we won at Wembley v Shrewsbury there was goal music and celebration music at the end as soon as the final whistle blew. I really hated being dictated to as to how we celebrated a unique moment, and it definitely made the moment a little less pure. In T20 cricket there is music for wickets, new batsmen, sixes etc and it cheapens the game. There is nothing wrong with the T20 format itself, but when one ball is snicked to the boundary and another is beautifully driven to the ropes, why should we celebrate each the same way with a short burst of inane music which stops us from being able to react naturally with the person sitting next to us? It makes the aesthetics of the game meaningless. Likewise, why should a crucial injury time winner be celebrated in the same way as a consolation goal. It sucks the atmosphere out of the game rather than adding to it, in my opinion.
