Quick question how come are goals to shots ratio has got so bad? People have been asking us to shoot more, and earlier, rather than trying to pass it in. Perhaps that's why.

Nothing great about Lines last night. Poor from start to finish. And until we keep the same back four, we will continue to concede stupid goals. yet he made the 1st 2 goals with nice passes?

You should have rated them in the form of emojis, for example like this;

Generally speaking, I have noticed a number of mistakes being made by other members of the team. Gaffney for Crawley's first goal last night for example. I wouldn't lay all the blame on the back 4, or chopping and changing personnel.

Might have missed a fair few chances but our attacking players have done the job again. We scored four goals. Our defence needs a rocket up the arse though. Something is not right time and time again. Great displays from Gaffney and James, hoping their time has come! I've been saying for ages that our defence gets undone by pace. Wasn't there last night, but yes, we haven't got the defence right yet. Thank goodness -generally- for our midfield.

You weren't the ar**hole in the West Enclosure abusing Linesy all night were you? He made ONE mistake which led to the first Crawley goal. Other than that, he made many excellent passes, surging runs forward and generally was MOM standard. He'll never be a midfield terrier, that's what The Beard is there for. I suspect we would have done better with Leadbitter at RB as Connor doesn't have the same pace about him, although his defensive side is quite good. From where I was standing, we deserved a more convincing win and were not helped by a very poor referee, who seemed to believe pushing and pulling players is not fouling, especially when Crawley were doing it. Also, the crowd looked higher than the published crowd - the giveaway was the 50/50 prize of £500 which is usually indicative of a 5000-ish crowd. Enjoyed the game and, as Darrell said in his interview, it was worth paying to watch.

I agree, some of the referee's decisions were apalling. Montaño getting chopped down in the area would be a penalty in any game

Thankyou. Granted I could have written my thread a more diplomatically but it proves I had a point. So it begs the question to those who hurled abuse at me - why do you think the crowd was lower than what it looked?

The Thatchers End was fairly crowded, both stands were quite full and the West Enclosure was 80% full. The East Enclosure didn't look too crowded and the Tent End was almost empty - couldn't see the little stand. I've been in the ground with lower crowds e.g. previous season JPT games and this was definitely higher. Plus the 50/50 prize money is always about 10% of the crowd - hence when we get 10,000 the money is about £1000 etc. Everyone where I was standing laughed when the crowd was announced and all felt it was actually higher.

It was interesting to note that when the young chelski lad come on for Hartley in extra time, Crawley's goals dried up Crawley were dead on their feet by that point. They'd pretty much given up. Even so, Hartley and Lockyer don`t look a solid centre half partnership to me. Although we were clearly the better team on Tuesday evening, I still felt that Crawley were more than capable of outwitting our defence, when they did get an attack going. I`d definitely pick Clarke Salter instead of Hartley.
