Surely there should always be something going on behind the scenes I know but this time it is CLEAR. CRYSTAL CLEAR.

During chris hargreaves post slimbridge interview he said about "tough test recently for loads of different reasons on and off the pitch" Pretty sure that DC's bereavement was the main thing he was alluding too.

You are a Jinx. Not this weekend. We're playing Bury for christ sake, they're on a worse run than us even! I'll make one this time and we'll win no problem putting these "GGMI is a jinx" rumours firmly to bed! Wow,yeah! Better pop over Coral again & put something on Bury. Might make it £20 this time.

I'm sticking the mortgage on then I can buy us a whole new back 4 and keeper in January 😉 Either that or I'll be homeless for christmas 😮😮😮

According to the gasman: "It is clear to me something is going on behind the scenes"
Answers on a postcard please as to what this could be? I just think the only issue is getting the stadium off the ground. UWE is proving to be a tough task not helped by a lack of awareness by the new board about just how bad some of the agreements had been by the old board. Thats all i think is going on

I think what has happened is that NH just wanted a stadium, and was prepared to bend-over to UWE to get it. He was prepared to concede virtually anything to get it. Wael doesn't just want a stadium. He wants a 'complex', to include the stadium, maybe a hotel, some bars & restaurants. It's a whole different ball game (excuse the pun), and he's not prepared to bend over to the UWE. or at least I hope that is what has happened !

I think the varying wealth change of the chairman would not have gone unmissed, Wael ain't a tenant type and his idea of financial gain through other ventures on the site is refreshing and up to date, still think nick deserves praise for identifying the site.

I know this answer isn't in keeping with the question which I feel is trying to stir rumours but... Behind the scenes we are: - Being run by people that have experience in big business, rather than SME sized businesses.
- Working hard to agree a deal on the UWE Stadium with owners that can actually secure the funds to build it.
- Planning to build a state-of-the-art training facility, again with owners that can secure the funds for it.
- Aiming for Category 2 academy status in the planned training facility.
- Increasing our back-room staff to include a medical team and a team of analysts.
- Making small but significant improvements to the current ground - new seats, tent roof, south west stand, toilet upgrade, gates, pa system and more.
- Feeding the players after training and putting them up in hotels before away games - apparently this stuff helps!
This is as well as on the field where we have:
- Held onto a top goalscorer for the first time ever.
- Got our best manager in years to agree to a new contract when other, bigger clubs were asking about his services.
- Employed the biggest squad of players any Rovers manager has previously been able to.
- Got promising young players on loan from good premiership clubs.
- Got promotion from the basement back to our historical level.
All of this, and probably more that I don't know about (or remember) in 10 months of ownership. If things aren't moving fast enough then I suggest you ask for the moon on a stick and see if someone can sort that out for you.But apart from this , WHAT HAS THE BOARD EVER DONE FOR US ? ( In a John Cleese voice )

Problem is for us/Wael is what happens if the UWE aren't interested in having a complex on what is there own land at present? Perhaps they were happy with the UWE Stadium but not the Jordanian Bank Sports Complex?

I think there may well be unrest by the players who have not played, or played just one or two games. Rather than give everyone a new contract (which works well in non league) At the end of last season he should have cleared out hose who no are not playing. Maybe they have gone to see about some more cash to pay off Gosling; Lawrence and co.

The problem will be a five year wait to buy, get pp and develop another site and whether wael will wait that long.
