Roos isn't playing well, but anyone that suggests Puddy is the answer is wrong. He is absolutely sh&t. How many mistakes has Puddy made in competitive games though ? The handball at Wembley was probably the right thing to do if he hadn't they would have scored and the foul on him at Dover would be given 99 times out of a hundred. Other than that I can't think of any where as Roos had got an error in him pretty much every game. Don't get me wrong I think a new better keeper should be top of our list but I'd play Puddy over Roos.

I think roos has potential and is not why our form has been bad as of late. He's made his mistakes, there is no denying that but some of the saves he's made for us have been class. I think we should stick with him until January and then bring in someone who will challenge him for his position. Thing is making great saves isn't what goalkeeping is about it's about conceding as few goals as possible and Roos concedes a goal pretty much every shot on target with the odd worldly save thrown in. That's not what I want from a keeper ( I am a keeper too btw). What you want is someone who does the bread and butter things right 99 times out of a hundred and is calm and collected in what he does. Roos hasn't been that keeper for us so far and maybe Puddy hasn't been much either but Puddy has been the better keeper so far for Rovers I've got no doubt about that. Also any keeper will tell you that the saves that people point out as great saves often could and should have been fairly straight forward saves but looked great because the keeper was slightly out of position or not in the ready stance and had to compensate for that with something that looks great but really just papers over the cracks. To quote Peter Shilton " the greatest saves are the saves a keeper doesn't have to make".

Roos for sure he has made mistakes but has had some very shaky defenders in front of him.

Everyone says how awful Puddy is but we had the best defence in the conference by quite some way. I'm not saying he's a world beater but I think he deserves a little more respect than some are giving him. I have respect for puddy and the part he played in our promotion. He's not awful and would make a decent conference keeper but just don't think he's quite good enough for L1 level.

Anyone from the family enclosure. Be it Man,woman, boy or girl.
Failing that, Christopher Biggins is not a bad shout,it being Panto season and all that.

Roos for sure he has made mistakes but has had some very shaky defenders in front of him. To be fair they were excellent last season they haven't turned in to crap defenders overnight. The goalkeeper is a massive part to play in the defence and since Roos has been there they've been all over the place

No one's saying Puddy is THE answer, but isn't he a better stop gap between now and January?
Roos was shocking for the following: -first barrow goal -second Charlton goal -third Charlton goal -second Crawley goal and that's just the recent ones, and I've lost count of the number of times he's been beaten from distance, not by worldies but by balls that have bounced once or twice first!!!

Bottom line for me is Roos is better than Puddy.

I would give Roos one more chance and if he f**ks up again I would put nick day between the sticks v Shrewsbury

Should have signed Chapman. Yes agree with this. He looked solid and confident in his short time with us and was available on a free transfer.

I think a lot of people are put off by Puddys height but I can't remember it ever bring a problem other than he probably wouldn't have been so easily fouled v Dover. Can't remember him ever being lobbed or struggling to get to a simple high shot.
I do think we need an experienced keeper with league 1 experience asap though, neither of our keepers have that other than Roos this season and like I've said I don't rate him based on that at all.
