Yes communication is a joke, You lot must have short memories, Hamer came out and said all that crap about landing lights being on and the wheels are down then said there would be a major announcement that would make people very happy either tomorrow but probably Monday, That was about 6 months ago, for that reason everyone is now getting watered off and wondering what's going on...

This is an important point. Perhaps it's about time we appointed one, or perhaps two, representatives of the fans onto the Board. They could then act as a liaison between us and them and give us updates and regular communications. I'm surprised no one has ever thought of it before. How about a `Fans Director', that sounds a good idea? Asking for one could send the wrong message. I think communication is adequate. A lot will be legal. Also, not a good idea to post publicly about the discussions. Do we expect UWE seniors to release the details of their positions and negotiation points? No. It's most likely both parties have agreed to media silence on the details of their discussions and quite rightly. It's really none of our business, all we need to know is we are in negotiations. My company wouldn't release the details of big corporate deals whilst in negotiation. It's very poor form and can only lead to damage. I think personally UWE only wanted us as tenants, they don't want to just sell. We wiI'll either have to pay to pursuade, or set a very complex agreement - for example, UWE always get use of x y and z, if we build x y and z. If rovers do this, UWEs position is this. These are difficult agreements. It will come down to us owning and having to either pay a bonus to UWE in profit or some other agreement regarding facilities etc. See how many sticking points? Why would they plaster this about so Dave from Downends can say "ere, they UWE ain't being fair" etc and every man and his dog get involved. If UWE don't share our vision, we will have to start again. Cue booing on here, but it might just be UWE isn't compatible with our view of an independent stadium owned by us. I don't care either way. I believe the will is there and WAQ as a football man (and family) didn't buy us to fake a stadium and then run us like Higgs did. We don't have Steve landsdown but this is the real deal, so to speak. Just looking at his personell says that, you wouldn't employ these guys for fun. They ain't cheap.

Nobody know feck all because feck all is happening. Hamers updates beforehand seem completely ridiculous if you think back. If there was ANY good news, the punters would be given snippets because no business wants disgruntled customers.

Apparently we are looking at land on emerson's owned by David Lloyd. Wouldn't be surprised if we are waiting for movement on an alternative site before making an announcement.

This is just another bullsh1t symptom of the smartphone, 24 hour rolling news era. People can't make stuff happen just because you want to be told about something. It's called Life. Grow up.

Do you mean for the stadium or the training ground? Either way I wonder if we try and find an alternative site, just so that it puts us in a stronger position to negotiate. The more options we have, the less desperate we are, and the less desperate we are, the less the sellers of the land can afford to try and rip us off with the negotiations (as this appears to be a stumbling block at both sites).

No the stadium. There are advanced plans for a new motorway junction off the m4 which will open up emerson's for development, work expected to start in 2019. We need an alternative now, uwe can do what they want with the land.

Bring back Higg's monthly updates! That takes me back.
I used to say directly to Nick Higgs "PLEASE DO NOT give future dates for plans as 99% of the time we fail to meet the target".
I'm afraid the say can now be said to Steve Hamer. A Chairman's curse at BRFC?
