dont know whether it's bullshit or not but someone mentioned to me earlier today that mark Schwarzer could be on his way until the summer ,I'm not in the know or anything and am not on the wind up. He's now 44 years of age and was at Leicester by all accounts as recently as this year. Anyone heard anything of think it would be plausible?

Clear to me that we need a new experienced PERMANENT keeper asap. Roos should go back, but Puddy adequate no. 2 for now.

I've said all along that Puddy is decent and while I'd like to see a new keeper in I wouldn't have a problem with him staying in goal for the rest of this season. People have pointed out the handball at Wembley ( saved a certain goal probably wouldn't have won promotion without it ) as a mistake , f**k me what a great mistake and thank god he made that one.) And the clear foul at Dover which would have been given 99 out of 100 as mistakes. Neither were mistakes one was a good and arguably the most important save in Rovers history and the other a clear foul. He f**ked up at Shrewsbury but name one player that came out of that with his head held high and hang the rest and we haven't got a first team. He played well on Boxing Day and was excellent today. We do need cover though because while Roos may have a decent future ahead of him he's got a mistake in him pretty much every game and needs to go somewhere else soon as.

Much prefer Puddy to Roos but the right keeper could be one of the key additions to push this team on to greater things this season. Depends on how quickly DC wants to progress though as not sure how ready we are for another promotion just yet. Loving every minute of 'the journey' though. UTG

He has a 32 year old experienced keeper lined up obviously would not give his name away in case it falls through ,got the impression a couple will be going and their names are pretty obvious, but equally got the impression here would not be anything earth shattering happening regarding incomings. but just my interpretation.

Puddy has done a great job standing in but he is not good enough for first choice in league one. Get another keeper in but keep Puddy in goal until he has a bad game.

What if he doesn't have a bad game, those that then make him good enough to be a Div 1 goalie? A good test will be Monday's game as Puddy hasn't really had a lot to do on the two home games. Although regardless as to what we think you'd hope DC's already decided what's he's going to do with No 1 position.

I think he had rather a lot to do against Coventry he was keeping goal against some 11,200 people

Neighbour keen Grimbsy fan claims their on loan keeper from Man U is brilliant. They inflicted Carlisle's only second defeat on them to-day at Brunton Park. Also said when Disley came on in least week's victory at Accrington they chanted ,'Disley is our leader'. So there are quality keepers out there and Grimsby went to Old Trafford for theirs!!!

Don't need another loan keeper.
Need a Lge 1 fit for purpose full time BRFC contracted keeper. Other teams in this division have managed it. Now it's our time to make it happen & DC knows it.

The thought of Puddy being in goal for the rest of the season sends shivers down my spine. Nowhere near a 'decent' keeper at this level. He wouldn't even tick that box at Conference level. He's clearly a good egg and contributes to the good team spirit at the club but that's as far it as goes. People have pointed out the handball at Wembley as he should have been sent off, pure and simple. It was a moment of madness which in all likelihood should have cost us promotion and confined us to another season in the Conference. It was dreadful goalkeeping. RE: Dover, he was out jumped due to his relatively small height. Cost us the Conference title. Simply far too error prone to be considered a football league quality goalkeeper.
