Didn't hear any negativity around me but was surprised by the number of people leaving 5-10 minutes before the end of the game. Quality team performance on Saturday Ellis rightly got MoM but thought it could've easily been ollie Clarke.

Well it was 5-0 so that point is invalid. Didnt we get relegated once on goal difference? Whats the chances of that happening to us with a promotion or play off spot! But it could also lead to scoring another goal? Surely you don't worry about GD too much at this stage!

Unless we need 6 to win on aggregate in the champions league semi final then i might accept it!!

Surely you don't worry about GD too much at this stage! This is why I said it is unnecessary sometimes if a basic pass could have the same effect. You see some spectacular build up play to goals that involves flicks and tricks and the goal may not have been created without them so in that case I think fair enough. But if the ball is given away by someone trying something like this when it isn't needed then it is very frustrating. With regards your point about GD at this stage, the goals are worth the same all through the season so you should be worrying about them all through the season. If you decide in the last couple of games, ooh we need to boost our GD, the chances are it could well be too late by that stage. UTG!

The only thing I would say about the OP is we did seem to ease off after the 5th goal and our GD was still not great for a play off chasing team...

i didnt think we did any showboating to be honest, bodin did a clever turn which left 2 defenders for dead but he probably would have tried that anyway. i dont think we eased off either,i think the team wanted a clean sheet and closed the game out, sometimes 4-0 up at half time a team can get sloppy and let silly goals in but we didnt.

I think some might be confusing playing with confidence and without pressure with showboating. We've got some decent players who are capable of some pretty good skills and playing great football and when the pressures off we will see that. It's not showboating it's good football with skill and technique and confidence.

It's difficult as someone said to judge just how good that was as Northampton had a revamped back line playing. But you can only beat what is in front of you. We did that with an excellent performance that could easily have been 7 or 8.

Nobody minded Talyor showboating his d*ck in the playoff trophy with his gert tongue hanging out. Ellis scored three perfect 'Taylor' goals and Boden hit a screamer from outside the box and they can dance naked in the centre fountain for all I care.

Talking of negativity, I haven't seen a lot of a certain poster praising our result on Saturday? Couldn't get rid of him last week Go on? Who's that then?

Didn't think we showboated but we did play with confidence and when Lines and Ollie C stole the ball off Boateng and played a 1-2 it showed off their skills and when some have taken a lot of c*** you can't blame them. Let's face it being 5-0 up gives the team a chance to play their game, neat triangles, turns without worrying about losing or dropping points. I'd settle for seeing that in the next few home games. UTG!

You couldn't shut him up last week, post after post, after post. He went to Charlton in case you missed it......! Think he might have posted twice? after our best performance in years....... Wait till we lose, or make a few changes, he'll be back with a vengeance.
