The story that broke was the club paying it off which has been denied. Thanks for that update. I could not see the club paying it off. I hope this is all a storm in a teacup as I think Brunty has the right attitude and the ability to do well for himself and for us. Cheers Dins.

Why would we pay off his contract? Or are you saying Brunt (or his Dad) want to pay off his contract and be free of Rovers? Either way, I cannot see this being because of fans. If you or your son put up with mindless abuse after paying for and working hard at rehabilitation how would you feel? I dispair at what some feel is acceptable or just part of football. Agreed that sometimes fans can cross the line of what may reasonably be seen as acceptable. Still think that the fans are not the reason behind any escape plans.

I may not be the most eloquent poster but I put my opinion out there and wear my heart on my sleeve. I get torn to shreds for that now I'm a moderator whereas noone gave a sh*t when I was just a nobody on the OF. Just read it as another opinion from a fan. Don't be so hard on yourself Ras, you and the rest of the moderating team are doing a brilliant job. This forum is ***g ace and a million times better than what we had. and a dam sight better than the other one who constantly bash the board and talk very little about the football on offer

This fIf continuouslyum is ***g ace and a million times better than what we had. and a dam sight better than the other one who constantly bash the board and talk very little about the football on offer But there is very little football of any worth on offer, and the IF tends to discuss why this has happened rather than guess the gate. There is room for all opinions and standpoints, congratulating moderators and their forums months after they set them up seems a bit supercilious to me, then at the sametime defensive. A bit hypocritical on your part also as you contribute hugely to the IF. The thing is if nobody cares why the club is in the state it is, does not believe that the chaos evident behind the scenes is a causal factor behind our decline on the football pitch, fair enough. You could argue this is the forum for them (I personally do not see the members here as detached as that) so why feel the need to reference the IF continuously? It very rarely happens in reverse, if at all. Stop the criticism of the character of the forums and just join the debates on either if you feel so inclined. Its easy really.

IMHO As great example of petulance as I have witnessed. Completely contradicting the rules set out and implored buy Hugo just a few short days ago about attacking the poster rather than the content of the post. Best ignored.

Funnily enough, I heard a few days ago that Brunt told DC he wanted out in the summer. DC told him he was welcome to leave if a club came in. It would make sense given the "agent" type story that went round in the summer about clubs in League One etc being interested.
If that's the case I couldn't care less. I really rated him when he signed but since his injury he's looked utter sh**e (which I'm aware could just be rustiness in fairness).
I'd hazard a guess his wages are good enough to bring in two players at this level - def worth it if that's the case IMO.

IMHO As stated in this thread I feel that Oldie has grasped the differences between the 2 forums very well now. He knows and accepts what we are about even though he still likes to challenge the boundaries sometimes and I think that's a good thing. It takes time adjust to different forums. If I was to post on a different forum I would have to modify my behaviour and my expectations of others in order to fit in with the group. I personally enjoy some of oldie's posts and can appreciate better his rather dry wit now I am more used to his style. He and some other IF regs who contribute here make this forum a more rounded place. There are some strong personalities posting here about some highly emotive stuff at times. We all.just need to have a better appreciation of each other's personal styles of expressing our views.

A fully fit brunt would be a major asset to a team in league 2 let alone the conference. I thought he was excellent for us in his first season here and would love to see him in that form again. It's going to be difficult for him to get back into the team at the moment so maybe he should push for a loan spell somewhere to get match fit and try and regain his form.

Perhaps he's another player looking sh1t on purpose, then will suddenly improve at his new club, or he's just lost it after so long out. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

TBH He was sh*te last week. I reckon he's away. Not even on the bench today It's his Father who has said it so I guess true I don't think injury is the thing here as, if it we're, we would claim insurance and so would he. Being paid off means it's been something else and I guess the chants did not help. A player that promised so much too. A crying shame. Now don't go getting all excited, but I agree with you. Bags.
