Had the odd blinding game in him but not consistent enough. We need to move forward not backward.

When we signed him I thought he looked like he could have gone to the top with loads of potential. I think the multitude of positions he was asked to play in including the left wing plus some really poor role models as senior pros ruined his development. It didn't help when Mcghee made statements about him being technically the best player at the club. I think he thought he made it before achieving anything.
Hearing Lockyers latest interview he explains that he wants to play at the highest level and Clarke has told him he needs to keep improving for that to be with Rovers. That's the kind of approach with young players which has seen us get so much success under Clarke.
Also becoming obese whilst our Club Captain wasn't his best move. He worked hard under Clarke and improved massively but there were still days when he looked like something was very wrong. The thrashing by Newport springs to mind. If someone can find the answer then there could still be a very good player in there. I don't think that will be with us but I hope it happens for him somewhere

Well that escalated quickly! I like many thought he was a good player (mainly when he wasn't thinking), but when he thought he was a world class player ala Beckenbuer he was often caught out. He clearly isn't a DC type of player hence my jokey wyhhb comment - Doh

A no from me. We did the right thing in getting rid of Tom, the thing we did wrong was not replace him with anyone better defensively.

An absolute no way from me. Think DC was probably pleased to see him go as didn't say anything to the contrary at the time and you cannot accuse this guy of not being loyal to his players. Sorry Parksey the fact you are part of a very poor Orient defence doesn't suggest to me you will improve ours - just make it worse in fact

Hartley was Plymouth's regular CH last season so, on paper at least, he was at least as good as TP, whilst PH's not the dominate CH we would have liked I can't recall many goals being directly down to him, rather than the FB's/Locks/goalie, where the real weaknesses seem to lie?

Whilst I still think we could have done better than Hartley (Plymouth replaced him with Bradley who IMO is better), I agree all the back 4 need to shape up or be shipped out.

Just telling it as it is, have you seen how many we have conceded this season?

I think we will end up seeing this season through with what we have and then have a clear-out in the summer.
Mid Jan is long enough to have adjusted to a higher level. They aren't performing in L1 so maybe high end L2 is their level at the moment?

Parkes has provided first class entertainment for a couple of minutes or so every Saturday night on Channel five this season. How? He has looked totally out of place in a very poor Orient defence and his vain attempts to get anywhere near his opponents have been very similar to the performance of Lockyer, Hartley, Brown and co for us this term. No surprise for me that he has been seen as surplus to requirements by the present management there.

Amazing how much in-depth analysis people get of League 1 and 2 players from 90 seconds of highlights from each match.

Amazing how much in-depth analysis people get of League 1 and 2 players from 90 seconds of highlights from each match. And likewise of keepers they have never heard of let alone play! As for Parkes, the highlights have clearly shown his severe lack of pace, that make Hartley, Lockyer and McChrystal look like greyhounds.

Of course. Anyone who has ever made a mistake can stay away from our perfect club! Drink driving a mistake..... so he forgot he had a skin full before nicking his girlfriends car then The law has to be the way it is for a reason. Being drunk can't really mitigate because otherwise it will be used carte Blanche. However, on a personal level, I have sympathy for some cases. Alcohol is an extremely powerful drug which of all the recreational drugs, encourages anti-social and dangerous behaviour. You are not in your right mind when drunk. This is why I do not judge or condemn as people do silly things. Then I think of the poor victims and I feel more inclined to condemn. It's a very difficult issue. I have done some crazy things (not DD ) when drunk. I know the crash of sanity when I realise what I have said or done. Often I can see a lad in a jail cell, the weight of innocent life on his neck forever with hefty jail time, for one silly mistake, and I do feel some level of human compassion as I am sure many are broken up with regret for the rest of their lives. Many are just shits who don't care.
