There has been plenty of discussion over wiil we be promoted, will them over the river get relegated, did we want to be promoted or is it too early, some people seem to want them relegated more than for us to be promoted so how would people like to see us in relation to our six fingered friends next season as all scenarios are currently a real possibility.

This a trick question? I want a derby in the championship as well as I want us to sign a few seasoned pros with championship experience before going on an unbeaten run to win league one. Whether I expect that to happen is another question.

Whether I expect that to happen is another question. You and me both mate but it seems that the majority of people want exactly the opposite, no Derby with the Teds and us to stay in League One, so to answer your question, no it's not a trick question. For the record I don't expect it to happen either, but then that was not the question.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough in the original post, maybe people have read 'would like to see' as 'expect to see'. Although, to be honest, I do think 'Do you want there to be a Bristol Derby' is pretty unequivocal'

Sorry was in a flu stupor at the time and on reading of you post after the poll it made more sense and i do get your meaning. My answer is consolidation in league one for us would be good enough and if the other lot got relegated well that would make next seasons push that much more tasty!!

Derbys usually, but to say "mind the gap" right into their angry ferret-faces would feel good.
The idea of that big project playing second fiddle to the team who "aren't their rivals anymore" would be a zenith of happiness.
The inevitable vandalism and fire starting will surely follow, but if DC and Wael can deliver promotion and if city do their part, they will have delivered more than anyone could ever dream.

In an unbiased thought surely a city the size of Bristol should have a minimum of 1 premiership club and 1 championship club, not a struggling championship club and the other finding its feet in the division below. Bristol has always underperformed in sport, whatever type, with just the occasional hiccup along the way. The question we should all be asking ourselves is why this has never changed and why the prospect do not look any better

I think people are over-thinking this poll Yeah I think I should have made my meaning clearer, I meant what did people want in there heart of hearts not what they think is best for us. I was torn between derby in the Championship and no derby cos we went up and they got relegated.

can't see either clubs changing leagues. unless we sign some players then finishing mid table is as high as I can see us achieving... which I do think would be an achievement first season in league 1.

To paraphrase Mr Keegan I would bloody love it if we went up and they went down.

Unfortunately I think City have bought themselves out of relegation this year and will survive in the Championship as for us think it's a struggle now until the end of the season as I can see us making the promised signings that would have helped us over the line... also I'm worried about the impact of today's announcement on the players cannot be a very happy place at the moment.
