Wael's not in the country this weekend, or certainly not at the match according to his Instagram a/c, so can't see there being any major announcements.

Could announce that there will be a press conference on Monday or could be nothing more than it's his turn to do the match day interview.

Like it's already been said, probably be more of what we've already heard, although truth be told no one apart from those involved actually know what's going on with the UWE/New Stadium build.

I want to be excited about 20man asking the UWE question. I just think if there was anything of substance to say, Hamer would not be the man sent to say it. He's the who makes an art form of speaking when there is nothing to say. For that reason I'm expecting to hear nothing except perhaps another meaningless metaphor. Err, the planes gone missing but some gates and a tent have been found washed up at the Mem..

Some questions for GT: 1) Have we made an offer to the UWE for the stadium site? We can't discuss confidential information it would be very unprofessional.2) If so, what is the present position of the talks? When does he hope they will be completed? The talks are at an advanced stage. We hope they will be completed asap.3) How close are the club to buying the training ground? We are finalising the purchase and will have a further update very soon.4) Will DC be given transfer funds/wage budget to allow him to bring in any experienced Div 1 players this month? The manager has/and always had our full backing including financially. If he identifies a target we will support him.5) Why does DC find it so difficult to bring in an experienced goalie to replace Steve Mildenhall? Finding players that will improve your squad can be a difficult business and although we would like to find them we will not buy players for the sake of it.I reckon you can bookmark this. And that's not having a go at Steve Hamer at all. Just that I'm pretty sure if there was any significant news to be announced over and above what we have already been told about UWE they would be calling a press conference, not having a little phone chat with Geoff Twentyman to disseminate the news on a crappy little local radio station. And the player funding has already been addressed previously as per the comments above...

Geoff had Tom Graveney on his show last night as he is a Rovers fan. He gets to as many games as he can, and usually stands in the Dribuild terrace opposite the players tunnel.
He mentioned he went to the same boarding school as Steve Hamer and keeps in touch with him. When he was talking you could have mistaken his voice for Hamer's, They both have a very definite way of speaking, with the same inflections and use of language and grammar.
From my conversation with Hamer on the train, I wonder if, as well as teaching them to speak in a certain way, they also trained them in the art of horse crap because, Mr Hamer, your couple of weeks is up!

Would be very impressed if he had Tom Graveney on the show. That would certainly trump Uri Geller! Would also suggest Hamer is about 90 years old

There's something about Hamer I'm just not keen on and never have been. Doesn't strike me as 100% genuine and I hope he is not proven to be shown as full of hot air.

The timing does seem a bit odd when we'll probably have one of our biggest away followings this season unable to listen to interview live, but perhaps Wael's had to act after the melt down caused by DC's announcement yesterday?

Interesting that we have a thread about Lee Power.
Does make you stop and think what a complete bellend we could have as a chairman / owner / first point of contact
