Our Chairman said they hope to get DC and the squad training there by this coming July. really?? Not doubting that was said but I have spent a fair bit of time up there and it is not suitable for grazing cattle! As for building the required structures, well I would be amazed. You have to remember our Chairman visited the ground a few months ago with experts in pitch laying etc, so no doubt plans are well advanced as regards infrastructure etc. Give the club a chance, it seems everything our owners say meets with a hail of doubt no matter what they say. After the few previous regimes I for one am far more confident that Wael and co will deliver what they have said and todays announcement go's along way to prove that. No doubt some will be along to say its just another debt sitting alongside the former wonga loan and I think it would be fair to say some of them are the same people who said the training ground would never happen etc etc.

What's on the site at present? Can the site be used as a training facility whilst development takes place? How long will the development take?

It's been discussed to smithereens on here for months. You'll have to look up previous threads. Not to mention in the club programme and the sh*thead rag better known as the Evening Post.

I've not been on here posting for a few days due to recent events , but this is awesome news , I never really doubted the intentions of the new regime but I didn't want to believe in fear of being let down. This is a huge step for the future of our great club and I think this really underlines how much wael and co want us to succeed into bigger and better things. UTG !!!!!

I work in construction and think logically about the process. Design, tender, procurement, build. I can't see there being any suitable structure on that site for a football league club by July. Pitches maybe, infrastructure no

They can get a few Porto Cabins in as temporary changing rooms until the new ones are built.
SH told us at the recent Newport reserve game that they will need to get "Motorway type scrapers " in to prepare the ground.
I think this development will evolve over a period of months and be completed as quickly as possible.

I can't see what the issue it TBH, we've bought the land so does it really matter whether the ground is ready for pre-season or the following spring, the main thing is the lands finally been bought and work turning into a decent training complex should start shortly. It's interesting the article confirms Dwane Sport have purchased the land not BRFC1883 as I assume the debt with them not directly with the club, hopefully, this mean talks with the UWE are looking promising.

Hopefully it saves us money in rent on the other site if we move to the new site asap. Albeit didn't we recently renew our current training ground lease? As for Toppers last sentence, I took it the same way. Would it have affected the FFP if the debt was held in the name of the club?

Just had another thought. You can actually buy snake traps on eBay. I'll buy a job lot of 500 and put them all around the new site.

Have no doubt, fans will be able to visit and worship When we move into the uwe, the tent end will be erected at the colony, giving us the opportunity to watch our heroes train in the "comfort" of the Mem!

Istr we agreed a one-year extension to our deal at the Lawns, so the first team won't be moving for at least 18 months yet unless anything has changed in that regard. I think I read somewhere during the planning phase that the site wouldn't be open to the public and that reserve matches played at the site would also be close to the public (or that we couldn't charge an entrance fee, something like that).

Think your right Bs11. You can go to watch reserves etc, but can't be charged for admission. Anyway, off up North.
