Any player is only worth what a buying club is prepared to spend.

I think our best bet would be another 6month loan nxt seas and then maybe make an offer in the jan. stoke may have bought better cb's by then thus he will be lower in pecking order and be more likely to sign and price be better

He will never play for Stoke. Whether we sign him or not will depend on whether the new board want to spend some proper cash. Yes it's hard for youngsters to break-in league football at all levels but for the premiership it very, very difficult. Best we can do is treat the lad well and keep tabs on him as to possibility of a further loan next season or so we are ready to move should Stoke be in a mood to release him at some stage in the future. If we treat them well when on loan with us then there's a better chance of signing them if released in a year or two. At the moment the best we could hope for is a season's loan next year I think.

Any player is only worth what a buying club is prepared to spend. Unless the buying club are complete bastsrds who have prior knowledge of a supposedly confidential buy out clause.

Irrelevant question, as he's not for sale.

Irrelevant question, as he's not for sale. Wrong. Every player is for sale. It just depends on the size of the offer.
