There was not 4k there but did see a free incidents in Park after i was chatting to my mate Saturday and he said there was about 1500 I said hopefully we're take that again Yeah I was there too and 1500 seems about right cos their away end is pretty big. I think they were a bit taken aback by the numbers as they only had a couple of turnstiles open to begin with. Remember the Police being right arses afterwards, took us ages to get out, seemed to think that anyone no wearing a Rovers shirt was looking for trouble, problem was that about half of us weren't wearing Rovers shirts. Maybe they just weren't used to such big away support so assumed we were looking for a strimache.

I was there with the Missus. When the game ended the Police were holding us all in the stand. An older, and obviously more sensible officer who was capable of thinking for himself saw us and let us out of the ground. As I say, sensible Policing from a bloke who had probably seen it all in his time.
I'll bet he would have had the surprise of his life if he'd seen the Missus then run into the park and headbutt 3 of their biggest mixers, one after the other!
Had to drag her away with the promise I'd buy her a case of cider to drink on the train on the way home.
They don't make 'em like that anymore.

I made the last 3 sentences up! The rest of it is true though.
Valentine's Day? The lad and I were permitted to go to the game, as I explained on another thread.
I'll bet there were a few who weren't allowed though. Probably Henbury was among their number.
Hen-pecked, doncha know!

I remember the 2008 game. We got hijacked by some of their banned mob after the game in Burslem- spelling may be wrong- turned out okay when some fellow Yate lads came around the corner.. Correct spelling. One of the six local towns that make up the City of Stoke-on-Trent.Very run down area which makes Knowle West look posh.If you fancy a pint or something to eat after the game, leave M6 at J 15 and come to Eccleshall where we have 6 pubs. Then re -join M6, 5 miles away at J14-Stafford.
