Ben is a student as are most of his team mates, and he has applied to join Gas Chat, so I expect we will hear directly from him soon.
Could be the beginning of the Lake Ontario branch of the Bristol Rovers Supporters club.

From the photo it looks like green and white quarters? My bad. I opened the link and saw they play in hoops. You're quite right, quarters it should be. Heh, heh!

How about an amnesty for all those shirts with t****r on the back. Hand em in and send them over there for use as away kit? Wael can pay the postage. That's assuming any of these shirts have survived of course?

I take it as a compliment, as they say "Imitation is the highest form of flattery"
Just as a matter of interest.
C.G how did you become aware of this and how were they aware of BRFC badge? (Google images I suspect)

Ben Welcome to Gaschat; please set your irony/sarcasm shield to maximum. We are a pretty fiendly friendly bunch on here unless the subject gets a bit close to the knuckle! Phil

Hello all,
I didn't know I'd create such a commotion! I'll try to at least touch on a few things here. But for starters: I founded/manage/play for the Marksmen, in a league called the BDSL. The league is actually huge for a Sunday league in US standards: 80 teams, with pro/rel setup and playoffs. Though it's a Sunday league and everyone has a fun time just playing with old friends, it is very competitive. We also use Twitter for a lot of things (if you don't want to send a copyright lawsuit our way, you can give us a follow @ymarksmen). As Rob showed you all, were from Youngstown, a very small village about 10 minutes north of Niagara Falls. Specifically, at Old Fort Niagara, the ****football pitches were where the old firing range was. There was an archway to get to the fields, and it said "Thru this archway walked the greatest marksmen on earth", thus we got our name. I got the idea to use the BRFC logo (this will sound bizarre) because I remembered seeing it when I was younger when playing FIFA. I actually chose to play with them because as a young one I just wanted to play with the team with the coolest badge (and yours has a pirate with a sword?! Unreal). I had this idea of modifying it for our logo last year when I created the team.
Also, I apologize for the hoops, but when it comes to getting kits, it is really damn tough to find green/white quarters for a decent price anywhere. A lot of my teammates were fixated on getting hoops, so we went for that. My co manager and I have already started getting price quotes for custom green and white quarters.
Player wise we're just a bunch of college guys mixed with some older fellows. Compared to English developmental system, were the misfits who didn't want to attempt to reach academy level. I, for the record, could have but the price was too steep for me. I still play for my college team in NCAA Division 2 (don't know how much you all know about college sports here in the US). If BRFC are looking for a spare keeper, they know where to look now!
When I first saw an email discussing our logo and BRFC, I nearly shat myself out of fear. But, seeing as most of the reception for this is fairly decent (?) I must feel I have to become a gashead. Thank you all for the kind words. Any other questions I'd be glad to answer.
Oh and Colin O'Keefe is unfortunately too good of a player for us, a premier team has picked him up for the summer.
Cheers, Up the Gas (and Up the Marks)
