I was married to a scouser for 20 years ( murderers only get 15! ) Her mother the witch used to call everyone Hun. Stupid ugly bitch anyway. Which one? The mother she was the only woman in the street who didn't have to dress up on Halloween as she frightened kids all year round with her witch like features and automated broomstick.

Took you 20 years? Yes I've had a hard life! But at least I've had the solitude of supporting the best football team in Bristol.

Cilla also said "Lorra Lorra Laffs"
I am reliably informed by a Scouser that comment was hated by and never ever used by Scousers. He told me that was a typical " professional "comment designed to endear her to the TV audience and make them think she is a typical scally .
In the same vein, you can always tell when an outsider is trying to sound Bristolian when they refer to our home's name as "Brizzle"
I've never heard a proper Bristolian say that, as the correct pronunciation is "Bristaw" or similar.
You've just got to love those TV attempts to get their tongue around our accent!

The pasties used to be great,in fact I remember us coming in the top ten for food in the league in a survey years ago but these days they're pretty average. They still taste nice and they're usually cooked well and hot it's just that there's hardly any meat in them.

I also remember at the same time that Brfc had it franchised out to Proper Cornish, it was an old guy who ran all the huts, they were fantastic then even the balti pie was nice. I think they bombed him out and put someone else in, it went down hill from then. Get him back. UTG

It turned out that he was actually the demon barber of old Horfield town! That's why the pies probably tasted so good?

I personally hate the "Brizzle" thing and equally hate that a large number of Bristolians don't seem to notice how inaccurate it is!
Bristaw/Bristall is spot on

Don't worry there's plenty of calcium in finger nails you just have to be careful that you don't tear the wring when they come out the other end.
