Would be a bit harsh to exile him from the squad because of one mistake. Give the lad a chance.

When we got shafted by that Trecherous little snake DC had no option but to say he was happy with the players at his disposal, chance for Luke James to step up etc etc. The same tune was being sung by Marcus and Steve Hamer, it's what a good management team does when faced with adversity.
The fact is the timing of the snakes departure was calculated by the Sh it to cause us maximum damage. It left us with no real time to get in a decent forward, and any selling club had the whip hand b cause they thought we would be desperate.
Fortunately DC is made of firmer stuff, and I've no doubt he knows exactly who he wants to get in over the summer.
F@ck Sh I thead Taylor and f@ck 1982 ltd. we will regroup and come out of this even stronger.

If the main reason he won't use Easter is he is not in his plans for next season then surely that will soon apply to the rest of our strikers! We may as well have him at least on the bench Think it was mentioned Easter has a clause in his contract where it will trigger a new one year deal if he makes another appearance That would explain why he's never played as much as you'd expect

Well that was just unlucky as the commentators suggested, although what was our LB doing there anyway as isn't he supposed to be covering the left side of the pitch. I wouldn't call it unlucky. Going with the outside of his left there, along with the great ball in, is asking for trouble. Should be an easy punt out for a corner with his right.

I'd have to cut harris a bit of slack it's his first start for us nerves might have played a part. Lucky we weren't at home he might have got a hat trick

Just got home. Having watched 3 matches this week, I feel we will struggle to win again this season unless we keep a clean sheet and even that might not be enough. Maybe try James and Lucas up top next match. Harrison and Gaffney just haven't got it.

He did hit some terrific shots with his right foot last season, for a player clearly left footed its great to have that ability to shoot with his right.

1 Goal in 335 minutes since the snake slithered off. All those that criticised the snake for the misses in front of goal didn't see, or ignored, the other aspects of his play - occupying two defenders, his ability to quickly control the ball and play good balls to other players, his runs making space for himself, others, etc, etc. We need to find a replacement if we are to challenge next season.
what like at Shrewsbury?

I thought we were sh** today, everyone moans about the forwards but they get no service and have to come back into the midfield to get the ball IMO lines is the only player in midfield with quality,we need 3 quality midfielders to get anywhere near promotion The forwards wouldn't have to keep looking for the ball all the game then, overall really disappointed today port vale were a poor team and should've been steam rolled What a sh** hole that place is too💩Won't be rushing back

It's been a bit of a weird turnaround in the last four games.
After losing five away and winning five at home, we've stopped the rot when travelling but lost our magic touch at the Mem.
Perhaps we'd have been better off carrying on as we were. At least we would have six points from the last four games instead of the four points we managed.
But of course we lost the snake, and DC was never going to be able to replace him very easily, so he's taken a different option of tightening up at the back, which seems to be working.
And of course the last two home games we drew were against top sides, so I'm not complaining about that.
I have decided it's all good.
Two away games without a loss (one against a side above us), and two home games without defeat against teams in the top five.
Pretty good, I think.

GRATEFUL SUPPORTER We would like to thank the very kind rovers supporter at port vale today! We arrived at the port vale ticket office to buy 2 adults and a child ticket and a very kind rovers supporter asked us if we would like a junior ticket for the match as his son was ill and couldn't make the match - we accepted and offered to pay but the very kind gentleman just handed us the ticket and wouldn't accept anything for it! We were very touched to say the least! Our 16 year old son has additional needs due to a brain tumour - this was Josh's second away match ever (he went to Carlisle away match 10 years ago he only remembers very little from that match)! So today was a BIG THING for us as we usually go without josh as his attention span is limited! I can honestly say we have had AN AMAZING DAY - josh watched EVERY BIT of the match - a first for us. Josh saw his first ever "punch up" - and his reflection this evening after being given his free ticket was "mum see football is kind sometimes"! Thankyou weve had a fab day!
