Expecting Miller to sign for Gillingham .... Probably offer him more and no need to move house!! Could end up in the second division then if Gills slip up tomorrow.

We got loads of players at the start of the season for the money you would pay for ricky miller, trouble is they were all poor or very poor. We had a good season because of the players already at the club before the 8[ i think] that we signed.

So we can't compete with Peterborough, average attendance 5581. Think we now know why dc was so watered off in that interview.

I wouldnt trust anything from that website, but I can see the likes of Peterborough & Charlton improving a lot, plus Fleetwood/Bradford and the clubs coming into this league will make it harder next season. Matt Godden of Stevenage would be high on my wanted list but would also cost. Up to the Waels to show they are worthy of owning this club after an easy start.

His career suggests he doesnt fit the DC mould of player. People bang on about wanting league one quality at least and seem desperate to sign a 27/28 year old unproven at this level

If DC doesn't sign Miller he needs to find a striker who will out score him next season for similar money.

Peterborough have made over £15m in transfer fees over the last four years, they also have a huge reputation for furthering players' careers. Sometimes its a bit more complex than 'well we get 4k more at home!!'

When Rovers approached Dover, they were told it was £250,00 or no deal. We'd be nuts to pay that for a non proven League player of his age.
Now it's a case of do we still want him and if so what the signing on fee and salary should be. If it's not enough we move on.

I think that if we'd got anywhere near Taylor's real market value for him then £250k would have been a decent gamble. Unfortunately we got about a 10th of what he was actually worth and as a result DC's hands were tied when it came to whether or not to spend 80% of the Taylor transfer fee on Miller. For me it will take a while to get over the fact that Pantsdown well and truly had our pants down. Such an underhand move from a scummy man and an awful little club that have built their entire existence on ripping people off, but as is often the case in football it seems that cheats prosper because it worked a treat. If Miller ends up here in the summer then it will be for the right money because we that's how DC operates but as others have said we'll almost definitely miss out to someone willing to pay him more than he's worth.

Their chairman has a bottomless pit of money. He's had some great signings over the years - Maclean, Mackell-Smith, Washington - who he was then able to sell on for even more, BUT he also signed Luke James for money and one or two others who haven't done it in recent times.

We still got 300 K for Taylor - the club, average attendances this season was 9,000 + - the club needs to spend the cash this summer !! DC is right it's kind of a make or break season coming up.
