Are they that poor. I must admit I thought they were pretty poor at the Mem early in the season, but they have been on a good run.

Fantastic game again. What a great week this has been. Two away games , but great performances. Sinclair is just brilliant, as is our Ollie. What a finish by him.
ROLL ON Southend. This is not over yet.

I wasn't there today but I'd imagine the reason oxford were so poor is because we were so good they were above us before today ? Similar to Tuesday where we completely outplayed a side who have been above us all season. Couldn't make it today for family reasons but been to the last two at the kassam and I've got to say we always take a big crowd and always seem to do well. I disagree with the radio Bristol commentator who described it as a great ground though. I think it's three ugly stands around a field in the middle of nowhere with a car park at the other end but the Gas being who we are could create a great atmosphere on Mars. UTG.

I was there with my 11 year old son. Because we had to sit in our allocated seats we were 2 rows from the front and next to the netting separating the 2 sets of fans.
All was well until a couple of dozen blokes who had been on the lash on the concourse came in and filled all the available seats. They immediately began baiting the Oxford fans, some of whom responded. There then followed a series of ever more improbable threats to and fro across the netting. Ollie then scored and it went mental with our mob surging towards the net. A woman sitting in front of me got knocked to the ground and injured her knee. She was in some serious pain and crying.
The venom between the 2 sets of fans increased, and fearing for my lad I yelled down to a steward I wanted to move. To be fair to them they recognised the problem and moved us to a small standing area the other side of the gangway. To be fair to the fans next to us they could see I wanted to get my lad away and they stood out of the way to let us pass. When in he standing area I saw the woman being taken away in a wheelchair. If you're reading this love, I hope you're OK.
The Police then turned up and started videoing the rowdy fans and that calmed them down, because it had been getting pretty tense and frightening. As we all know, Rovers played an absolute blinder. I was impressed with James, who seemed to be playing up front on his own. He ran and battled all the time he was on, and on another day could well have scored.
When the game ended I tried to walk back behind the North stand the way we came in, to use a footpath to get to the main road and bus stops. A f uckwit steward wouldn't let us through because the Oxford fans would be going that way. We had to walk round 3 sides of the ground, through and against hundreds of Oxford fans to get to where we started. There were no Oxford there and we had the footpath to ourselves. And it was pi55ing with rain.
Sometimes I wonder if some of these people have the brains they were born with.

Also afterwards there were punches thrown in hollywood bowl and kids and families running out crying. As I said after Port Vale, it is about time we looked at our own fanbase.

The Kassam as a day out has to be up there with the worst days out in the Football League. Only Colchester is in a more boring, middle of nowhere location. Then there is the car parking situation. The car park behind the bowlplex is free which is great but why the hell do they let people come into it between say half 4 and half 5 on match days? It caused absolute carnage with just a few cars going against the flow.

Anyone calling for Sincs to be dropped so we can go on another great end-of-season run then?

Anyone calling for Sincs to be dropped so we can go on another great end-of-season run then? Not me. I said all along that as a central midfielder in 442 it didn't work with lines most of us said that. but with him on the left nobody attacks us that side because they're sh** scared of him and see him as one of our best and as an attacking midfielder this year he's got yet another feather to his bow. Lumley better keep up the great form cos Stu might be wearing the gloves if he doesn't. The blokes a class act with his commitment and desire he wins the ball and doesn't give it away and he chips in with goals what more could we want. I met him pre season and the way he talked about our club was more passionate than the way I talk about it and I've been supporting us since I was six.

The youth squad didn't help the cause today that's for sure inside and out
Plenty of handbags at the bowl plex and aggro outside, my 8 yr old son doesn't need to see that on a happy away day with a win and a clean sheet
Great general atmosphere by the gas, plenty of banter towards Oxford and Not much back
Very soul-less place and the car park as mentioned above is just laughable in how it works - we finally got out at 6.15pm
Taking all into account five points this week a very commendable return
James should poke one in soon, Moore looking better, Delighted for Sincs, O Clarke imperious, we HAVE to keep Lumley and Sweeney , Gaffney sadly has reached his level last season and won't offer us the edge we need this last ten games.

Just to say v oxford sinclair played at the front of the central midfield 3 with bodin and moore wide and james a lone striker. We dominated central midfield throughout the match.

I've had personal experience of it in the past. Some people need to take responsibility for their selfish actions & the authorities sometimes need to use some common sense. I was at Hillsborough today for Sheff Wed vs Norwich. In the Leppings Lane end (now renamed, presumably to try to take the awful association away). Visited the 96 Memorial. Very strange to see certain things for real that I'd only ever seen before on TV coverage (e.g. turnstiles, the small area outside the ground). Very sobering. Football really should be enjoyable, and a bit of fun. It really should be.

It's always the same few at every away game we all know who they are and so should the police perhaps Bristol police should go to an away game or two and then they can identify them for themselves
